"Terrible experience! We did not receive the room that was reserved. We reserved a room with three beds and received a two queen bed room. They did try to move us to a suite but they were all booked. Offered to give us a second room but we had to pay full price for it. The first room we went into was missing the cushion chair (we needed for sleeping since we were down a bed) and the desk chair had the leather peeling off of it. They did move us to another room with a cushion chair and nicer desk chair. Both rooms and hallway smelled so bad. It gave me a headache. It smelled like they used to allow smoking there. The furniture and light fixtures were chipped and needed to be replaced. We will never stay there again."

"So everything was super great, with the exception of two things. 1. The bathroom light ballast was malfunctioning so we didn’t have a decent light fixture n the bathroom other than the shower light. I called the front desk and reported the issue. Within a shorter than anticipated time, maintenance began right away. Unfortunately they were all out of spares and we would have utilize the light as best we could. I sure hope they picked up more than 1 ballast from the supplier. 2. The tv. There’s something wonky where using the hotel media feature on the massive tv was not only operating the menus and volume, but also simultaneously running the tv functions as well. This made it slightly annoying trying to get to YouTube and Netflix from the beginning."

"Adrian the Bartender is the coolest dude and excellent at his job in every aspect! We enjoyed the restaurant, Starbucks coffee, and mainly the fire pit by the pool. We gathered out there endless hours! Then we had a huge company breakfast one day and the next day a Christmas Party with about 200 people on-site and we felt like royalty. Everything was so beautiful in the ballroom. Even though planes fly over, it is quiet inside, so you sleep like a baby! Highly recommend!"

"As far as the hotel itself is concerned, it's fine. The rooms are comfortable, but you can tell they haven't been updated in a while. There's the occasional chipped tile, scuffed wall, and loose bit of carpet that shows that the room has been occupied and cleaned many, many times. The housekeepers do a good job with what they have to work with, though. For some reason, the lighting is fairly dim. When I tried to review my convention notes after dark, I had to turn on every light in the room. The staff at the front desk was professional and friendly, greeting me every time I came in or out of the lobby. Also, one of the two elevators was out of service for my entire five night stay. I never saw anyone working on it. BE AWARE: The hotel is right underneath the main approach and departure lanes for DFW. While it is fairly well soundproofed, aircraft are on final decent or have just taken off as they pass overhead. You WILL hear the planes. They were muted enough for it to not disturb me, but light sleepers beware. The real problem with this hotel is breakfast. Instead of a traditional continental breakfast, they have "The Bistro," a small restaurant in the lobby. I noticed as I was booking that there wasn't a continental option, so I prepaid for a daily breakfast option. This meant that they placed a credit for a breakfast option and beverage on my room account each morning. In theory this could work, but the cooks are weird. The breakfast bowl with eggs and breakfast potatoes turned out to come on a bed of arugula lettuce, and the potatoes were tater tots. Disgusting. And somehow a hotel in the middle of a major metropolitan area managed to be out of orange juice for five days. If you stay here, make plans to eat out for each meal."
