"I just recently rejoined this gym. I am not really happy with the quality of the equipment. Lots of things are broken or falling off, attachments to weights are missing, lots of equipment is old and rusted. What happened to this place? The sauna and pool are still really nice. I hope they update their equipment. It is lacking."

"First I want to talk about the pros that I do like about this gym. 1. Sauna/steam room. After a workout I like getting in there to finish off and relax the body and mind. 2. Equipment is decent could use some updating on specific machines but they have everything that's needed. That's it for the pros for me. Cons 1. Locker rooms are dirty there's no one keeping up with them. It looks really outdated. #2. The stairmasters 70% of them don't work they have like 10 and only of them work. I saw a review on here that was made 7months ago and here we are 7 months later and they still don't work or have been fixed. The ones that do "work" are noisy as hell. They need to be oiled badly. For a gym this big that charges people 20-50$ per person they should really atleast have all their equipment working properly. Ir shouldn't take this long to get things working properly. #3. They are called 24 hour fitness but recently they changed their operating hours as a franchise to close at 9pm. You guys are literally called 24 hour fitness!! Ur supposed to be open 24 hours. Lol. That's the whole reason why I came to this gym to begin with. 4. The price I pay 30$ a month and for the price going to this gym is not worth it anymore. They really need to change management and renovate alot of things on this gym. From the locker rooms to the equipment. Renovate and open back up 24 hours. I'm canceling my membership here now due to all of these things it's not worth the price."

"Management allows a homeless individual to loiter in locker room. Individual is obviously up to no good wearing a tight hoodie to cover face on hallway cameras. Leaves several minutes after entering. Here is the result. Small bolt cutters to break into locker and steal others belongings. No help from management to find a dry shirt or towel because I was in the wet area. Individual acts like he is sleeping on bench but is actually observing locker room waiting for everyone to leave. Management knows his login creds and that he pretends to sleep there because they have a sign that says no sleeping. The suspect was nice enough to leave me his kid shorts he stole at the Academy and used socks."

I expected to enjoy the pool as part of my membership benefits, but unfortunately, it was inaccessible for an unreasonable amount of time. This lack of availability left me feeling frustrated and unable to fully utilize the facilities. Another issue that plagued my experience was the extended duration of the men's locker room renovation. Over the course of a month, the constant construction disrupted the usability of the locker room. This inconvenience greatly inconvenienced members, and it seemed that little progress was made during this period. Additionally, the ongoing problem of theft within the gym forced the management to relocate personal belongings to the front desk. This inconvenience added an unnecessary step to my workout routine and compromised the security of personal items. It was disheartening to see such a lack of respect among fellow members. Moreover, the overall cleanliness of the locker rooms left much to be desired. It was disappointing to encounter dirty facilities, which indicated a lack of attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards. This further detracted from the overall experience and made me question the level of maintenance provided. Lastly, the persistent issues with broken equipment were frustrating. It seemed that there was a lack of regular maintenance and prompt repairs, as broken machines were a constant sight. In particular, the frequent absence of the weightlifting pin made it challenging to adjust weights effectively, limiting the effectiveness of my workouts. In conclusion, my experience with 24 Hour Fitness has been marred by unhelpful staff, the extended closure of the pool, a prolonged men's locker room renovation, theft issues, unclean facilities, and consistent equipment problems. These recurring problems have led me to the difficult decision of canceling my membership. I hope that this review serves as constructive feedback for 24 Hour Fitness to address these concerns and improve the experience for future members."

"I was hoping to see more improvements during the lockdown and bankruptcy restructuring due to covid but very little. I think equipment upgrade would be a major step to replace most of the dated ones and noting not enough leg exercise equipment would be appreciated. The locker-room is a large area which I love with lots of sitting areas and lockers. The showers could use some TLC with those water saver spray heads that aren’t that great and some of the tiles that appear damaged. Better quality liners would be nice and the frequent cleaning would be nice. They have done some painting on the seating area in locker room as well. The management team mentioned having big plans for an overhaul but so far I haven’t seen anything major yet and other members are still voicing their opinion so my hope is that they are listening to the suggestions (I've heard some express at the front desk) who have suggested some things they could improve. I give this location 3 stars because of the dated (old) equipment and shower that needs attention. This gym is in a great location and with some upgrades starting with new equipment would give them the competitive edge against Fitness Connection and Colaw Fitness close by. Update: Dec 2022. I spoke to the office manager to inquire on any changes. Ive seen the addition of MODUS group fitness training room created for dedicated training with a trainer and the basketball court that was redone. Both are nice options BUT the dated equipment remains. I gather that corporate is assessing the funds to either upgrade (all equipment) vs opening a new location. For members with renewals or considering joining, these are factors to consider. Ive been with 24hr for 4 years and this location is in poor shape compared to their neighboring locations in Fort Worth, Grand Prairie and Mansfield Ive visited so I may check out and compare equipment. I am disappointed this location is still operating with mediocre options but remain hopeful that action will be taken soon to prevent its closure."
