"I'm conflicted about giving just one star because I see two Dr.'s at STLBMI. The first Dr. I see is Dr. DiAntonio and she is awesome. In the time that I've been in counseling with her she has taught me so much and helped me come to some very important revelations. This review should not impact her reputation at all. Dr. DiAntonio has lived up to her end of the bargain. The poor review really goes to some of the office staff, mainly whomever is in charge of prescription refills and Dr. Simon. I regularly have problems getting my refills in a timely manner. I regularly receive messages from CVS letting me know that they are unable to refill my prescription because there has been no contact from the doctor. I am currently out of one of my antidepressants because someone at that office has fallen down on the job. When I tried discussing this issue with Dr. Simon he was quick to tell me that he had nothing to do with refills. This is a refrain I have heard from him on another occasion. In that instance I was trying to get my Ambien refilled. I followed procedure: I went onto the CVS website and requested the refill. When I didn't get a text telling me one way or the other about it I called the pharmacist. He couldn't help me because there was an issue with the Pre-Authorization. So then I called STLBMI's office and left a message. No one called back for almost 2 days. We are now approaching the weekend which means nothing gets done over the weekend, which means I won't sleep over the weekend. I did finally speak with an office staff about the Ambien issue and she said she definitely could get this done before the weekend. Guess what? She couldn't get it done before the weekend and no one called me to let me know this. As a last resort I called Dr. Simon's after hours number. When I tried to explain my dilemma he shut me down telling me that he had nothing to do with prescription refills and there was nothing a could do for me. And then he hung up on me. How's that for "bed-side manner". So today, 2/20/2024, I had an appointment with him and when I tried to discuss the refill issues all he would say is that he has nothing to do with prescription refills. Also, as he was looking into his computer and not at me, he pointed out that there wasn't even a Dr.'s name associated with the prescription. As if he hadn't written a prescription for it when I first started therapy with him (or at some point in our therapy sessions). Dr. Simon has always been very quick to tell me he has no responsibility for anything that happens in that office. From the other reviews I read before writing this one, it seems that that office is not being managed very efficiently. I will be looking for a new Dr. pronto."

"My experience with SLBMI has been 100% positive, which I'm sure is because of the provider I've worked with. She is well suited for her profession, always warm, always caring & compassionate, & exceptionally perceptive. So, no doubt, one's experience will likely vary from provider to provider. I'm completely satisfied."

"Dr. Timothy Grove hit on me when I was his patient at Saint Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI). First came the hugs at the end of appointments, then he asked me out to dinner. When I was upset that he'd asked me out, he dismissed it as "trying to make me anxious as a form of therapy." Then it all came together. On a Friday afternoon, he said I needed an appointment the next day at 4:00. I found out we were alone in the building when I arrived. He broke down crying saying he'd fallen in love with me, he had no reason to live, and attempted to kiss me (I pushed him off). He told me he wanted to rescue me and have me move with him to his rural town in Missouri. I quit therapy but was too afraid to report him because he'd told me during a previous appointment he owned guns. He was 30 years older than me (I was in my 20's). The damage to my life was immeasurable, because prior to this he'd created a wedge between my family and me. I believe he was trying to isolate me before he made his move. He also put down my religious beliefs and tried to convince me to join his Unity church. I happened to Google him and saw that he passed away, so I'm not afraid of him coming after me anymore, so I posted this (long overdue) review. I hear when a therapist does this to one patient, there are always other victims. If he manipulated and hit on you too, you are not alone. Dr. Timothy Grove was a sick man. SLBMI, Do better. Didn't you interview him first?"

"I had a great experience here! I came for ADHD testing/treatment, and everyone has been very kind and informative."

"Extremely negligent Counselors and Practice Management. Our daughter was referred to Maia Ingram at STLBMI for eating disorder counseling after losing so much weight her pediatrician put her in a halter monitor to check for heart damage. Maiya blew it off, ignored our physician accused me of belittling her after I told her that my daughter had falsified the entries in her food journal. My daughter wound up hospitalized in a health crisis within weeks of Maia’s non treatment plan. No one in that practice has ever apologized let alone taken any responsibility for their lack of care and poor medical judgment. I’m sure you’d get better care from a Veterinarian than you would from Maia or anyone else in that practice. If I hadn’t been so busy with a sick child I would have reported her to the state licensing board at the time. She’s charging $150 an hour for absolutely nothing!"
