"I must say I am always impressed when I drive by Rock Solid establishment from route 12 with the orderly display and organization of all the trucks and equipment strategedy parked in their lot. I had the extra bonus of seeing their Christmas Display this year, which is themed and decorated towards your business. Thank you, Rock Solid. You and your employees ROCK!"
"I have been employed here for approximately 9 months. I feel it is an excellent place for my career path. Coming from southern Indiana and becoming an outside employee, I can honestly say everyone I have had the pleasure of working with has made me feel as if I’m a part of the family. Yes it is a very demanding industry. But, I can assure you from personnel experience family means very much to this company. I would highly recommend anyone willing to work hard needing a job, this company can probably find a place for you. They are very fair giving employees several chances to improve is what I have seen. Although there are pros and cons to every job, I feel the company as a whole works hard at striving to be fair. My experience has been you treat them fair they will respect you and treat you fair. If your just expecting a good paycheck without working hard your not going to be happy here. Thanks to rock solid for making me a part of the team."
"As an employee of RS, I am pleased with my career here. Like any job, it has it's pros and cons, but the pros outweigh the cons tenfold. I started at the bottom in the company's infancy as a bulk driver, and have made my way through many who have come and gone. It takes a special breed to drive for RS, and I must fit the cloth, because I love what I do. The people I work for and with are hands down some of the best in this industry! Jon gave me the chance with a fresh CDL, and I haven't looked back since then. RS gives you the tools to succeed, what you do with them, is up to you. Overall, great place to work, with superior benefits."
"I have worked here for 10+ years & all I have to say is that it is one of the best companies around to work for! We are a team at Rock Solid. (Actually, more like a family, I think) I don't know of any other company that is as generous & family oriented. We often ask our employees for their input on how to make Rock Solid better. TOGETHER we are Rock Solid. Rock Solid is growing because we are a great company to work for & to have work for you!"
"The owner is a very good man and I have great respect for him, however, he is quite busy and removed from the day to day company operations as one would expect from the CEO of a growing company of this size. Unfortunately, these day to day operations are overseen by an incompetent Vice President. This VP is not professional and views his subordinates as unimportant and easily replaceable. This philosophy has been adopted and put into practice by another unprofessional and incompetent employee running the dispatch office for the company. Because of this philosophy drivers are viewed as unimportant and easily replaceable at any time. Drivers are expected to be ready to go at any time and be able to stay out for extended periods of time away from home, many times for months at a time. Long work days are expected and work beyond FMCSA legal hours of service are common. Drivers frequently haul overweight loads without permits to do so, and the drivers are responsible for any tickets and fines incurred by hauling these loads. Numerous loading sites are very dirty and dusty. Drivers are paid minimal pay for detention time and are required to give the first hour and more before being paid for detention. Most unloading is done on job sites which are muddy, wet, dusty, and noisy. Drivers unload pneumatic trailers which are very loud and pose a significant risk of hearing loss to them. Drivers frequently spend unpaid days in hotels due to weather conditions or other conditions on job sites. This job is seasonal and employees spend an average of 4 to 5 months off during the year. Drivers are currently averaging between $40,000 and $50,000 per year. The company has been promising much more and falling short of their promises. The company does run late model equipment in good working condition. The health insurance is company paid, and 401K is available after the first year of service. All in all, I would not recommend a position at Rock Solid Stabilization to anyone. I do not see employment at Rock Solid Stabilization as secure or rewarding."
