"Astonishingly incompetent organization. I’ve now spent 6 weeks trying to enroll. My calls and emails don’t get returned. I just need very basic information but can’t get it from anyone on staff. Today’s journey: I’m looking at the catalog, there’s a number on the cover, I call it. The woman who answers can’t answer my question, so she transfers me. It goes directly to voicemail. I call back - this time she finds a direct number and transfers me. It goes to a voice menu that instructs me to call a different number. I call that number. It’s another voice menu that tells me to hold. I hold 10 minutes. After 10 minutes I’m suddenly disconnected. I call back - it says “press 1 to leave a message”. I press 1 - immediately disconnected. I call the original number again - it goes to voicemail. And on and on it goes. How on earth would you trust an organization this incompetent to teach you anything of value? They can’t even handle the basics of answering a phone and fielding new admissions questions."
"Tomi Welch is by far the most helpful ACC employee, even with the vast experience I have with the multiple campuses of Round Rock, Cypress Creek, and Rio Grande as a student. Tomi will work through her lunch to help you in whatever way possible. She is amazing. Thank you Tomi!!!"
"Currently taking a summer class as a transient student Highland campus to save money. It's very modern and clean, and centrally located. The only negative that I have encountered here is the staff. For example, I was rudely confronted by one of the librarians for eating pretzels! Never has this happened to me at any of the UT libraries. Seriously, this guy was a real jerk! Not surprisingly, his library was also very empty!"
"ACC is cheap, and many classes can transfer directly to UT. You can take the first two years of a four year degree here. If I was rich, I would just go to a university straight away, but this is a great option for the rest of us."
"Austin Community College is not worth, the professors are not attentive, they don't care about student's performance. The level of ACC is below 12th standard. If anybody have more qualified degree, don't go."
