I however didn’t know what Kim shared with me as she patiently worked me through trying about 6 pairs on. I needed to go up an entire shoe size in my running shoes. Rory really took the time to explain technical details of the shoes, helped me understand where compromise was acceptable in a running shoe and helped me find my unicorn. "I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I walked in after having bought shoes 10 years earlier in a box. I was poorly educated about athletic footwear. I received individual attention as soon as I came in. She sized my foot. Imagine that! It was a good thing, too, because my size is different now that I'm older. We discussed what I needed, different shoes were brought to me, and I tested them out. I learned "the runner's tie" to secure my shoes better, which helped narrow down my choice. I had no idea that shoes could fit so well! The woman helping me didn't show irritation with me with any wavering I had, or questions I asked. I didn't feel like I didn't belong as an average person needing shoes, rather than as an athlete. The only thing I will note: the price point on the shoes here is high. Don't walk in expecting department store box shoe prices. That said, the cost truly belies the quality you get."
