"Not fat friendly at all! The staff is great. The food and drinks are great but the seats and tables are too small for a larger person. The venue is not fat friendly and it’s such a bummer."

"We’re huge fans of this location after living near the area for years. We moved away to another area within Austin but this past weekend were able to catch the Iron Claw (Loved the film). This was quickly tainted by our newfound knowledge of the enforced 18% fee added on to your bill. There’s three issues with this that I’d like to share. 1.- We were blindsided by it since it is not a policy followed in all Alamo Drafthouse locations. We weren’t aware of it until an on screen message stating that it’s in “…an effort to provide better wages for our employees”. This of course comes on after you’ve already ordered and waiting on your movie to start. This is not posted on the online theater location policies nor the ticket pricing information. 2.- That 18% added on fee does not mean that your server gets the full 18%. It’s just an excuse to charge more and hope that the “fair wages” cover for the previously unfair server wages we’ve all known about that exist in the service industry. 3.- This policy discourages us from tipping on top of this sketchy 18% fee (your server isn’t getting that directly). This is unfair to the Servers and honestly makes us not want to come back anymore. It’s a shame because this is a great location, the staff is beautifully nice but the Alamo Drafthouse should just be honest and raise the food/drink prices or be more straightforward with this added on fee. We won’t be coming back to this location. Hope this gives some insight in the recent changes we just experienced so you’re not caught off guard. Thank you!"

"Went to the Alamo this weekend to see the new hunger games, movie! Movie was great, but the service was even better. Our server Madison was so attentive and seriously, took serving one step further! I’ve worked in multiple restaurants and she is The perfect example of the kind of employee who deserves to be praised. From recommending delaying our dinner order so we could eat it at the perfect time in the three hour movie, to asking if I wanted a lime for my Diet Coke she really knew how to take care of us and make the experience so much more fulfilling! Thank you Madison and team!"

"It's always fun catching a movie at Alamo. I watched Oppenheimer and enjoyed it quite a bit. The theater was clean, the service was great and the bathrooms were clean/everything worked. My popcorn was tasty too. I look forward to the next flick that I get to watch here. It's good idea to show up a lil earlier than the movie so that You get a chance to order some munchies."
