"I've been going to this practice since Dr. Phillips retired; a couple of years now. The care, concern & attention to detail has taken a downward spiral. Now, revenue & volume are the focus. This practice has trouble even communicating in a responsive time period to pharmacies for prescription refills. Multiple & recurring billing issues are pervasive. Dr. West seems professional & effective. It's the "business side" of the practice that's the problem."
"Doctor Penny C. West is great. Very thorough and to-the-point. The nurses and assistants are alright, if a bit unprofessional. However, the front reception/call-fielding staff are absolutely hopeless. They are very incompetent in everything from keeping records/documents of patient history, to scheduling appointments properly, to simply refilling a prescription. They have such a hard time with the most basic things, it's ridiculous. A recent example: I had a prescription changed to a new pharmacy. They only sent 1 refill, so I had to call the office when I was eventually running out of meds. They said they had no record of ever sending my prescription to the new pharmacy, the new pharmacy wasn't in their system at all, and that they were unable to send another prescription electronically (even though they were able to do it the first time) so I would have to deliver a physical paper form to the office in-person for the doctor to sign and the office to process. The person on the phone basically told me that everything I was saying did not happen and they have no idea how I could've gotten my meds, despite me holding the prescription bottle in my hands that was sent from the new pharmacy that they had contacted. Ridiculous."

"Absolutely POOR patient treatment! I was a 10 year patient with my doctor before their acquisition of his office after his retirement.No one answers the phone most of the time. No accountability from staff, everyone blaming another staff member for lack of professionalism. They call me the day before my appointment and tell me I can't come because I have Blue Cross insurance and that I can't pay cash for office visit. Meanwhile I have been out of my meds for a month and they dont care! I was told to go find another doctor!"
