"I’ve never posted before, but I felt compelled to after seeing Karen Druzak. After reading other’s posts it gave me some sort of solace to know that my experience was not unique. I regret having seen her. It is currently below zero outside, but her manner in approaching the appointment was far icier than the weather. I was absolutely mortified after seeing her. There was no humanity in her whatsoever. Her questioning of my symptoms felt like an interrogation. It was almost as if I was on trial to prove whether or not I had the condition other doctors have indeed confirmed I have. She did not even pretend to be interested in what I had to say, much less if I had any questions. It was as if I was an experiment that she was analyzing and had unilateral control of. I had no agency whatsoever in the conversation. Furthermore, she only advised that “diet and exercise” would help my condition. She assumed that I was not already taking care of myself because the scale still reflects a number higher than average. When in reality I have taken steps to address this and part of my condition makes losing weight much more difficult than it already is. Overall, I am astonished that this person can be referred to as a “medical professional”."

It felt very transactional and I wished she would have seated with me and taken some time to better understand my situation.
