"This place was quick to seat, good customer service, quick service to change out grill as you cook. The descriptions on the menu were great but doable. The food came seasoned. All you can eat. Overall great experience and would go back."

"I’ve been to other Gens before in San Diego, Bay Area, Carrollton but this is by far the worst Gens BBQ I’ve ever been to. There were tables still available at night on the weekend. They only let you order 2 galbi pieces at a time. Although the burner was on the maximum flame, the flame on the burner was so low and centered in the middle that my finger can be a 1cm from the grill and feel no heat. Food took FOREVER to cook. Extremely thin beef took forever to cook on my grill and they stated there’s nothing they can do because it’s on the highest flame. I ordered japchae and it was bits and pieces all cut up, not one single long strand of japchae…. Like is this leftovers? I’m shocked they can serve this coming out like this and charge people $5 for unfinished plates. The thin brisket is good, the galbi is good. They give little tiny side dishes. It’s $35 per person for dinner menu, 2 hour limit. I’m sure there other kbbq around the same price that will serve better stuff and not have a low flame grill. I suggest yall avoid this gens."

"These days I actually rate Gen 5-star because they have upped their game across the board with my recent visits… really at both locations - Frisco and Carrollton. What I have noticed is that their staff is much more attentive and helpful (trained way better than before) and their meat selection (how they cut the meat and quality of meat) has also majorly improved. I love how Gen is big and open. It is a great place very family get togethers and being able to enjoy a good meal with friends and family. Our waiter this time, Art, was awesome and I could see was working so hard to keep up with the pace of customers and tending to everyone’s requests. We will be back of course and will continue to be regulars to Gen!"
