"I made an appointment by phone to have Geek Squad come to my home to install a Sling device to my tv. First, the appointment was for an 8 hour window. I had to stay home the entire day waiting for the tech. He never showed up, as I had suspected. I called their 800 number during the day 3 different times. Each time I was put on hold for a long time. Eventually I gave up and hung up. I called the Best Buy store which was the initial contact point. I explained to the person answering the phone what my situation was. I wanted to make sure the Geek Squad kept their appointment. This person was very rude and uncaring;she seemed in a trance, bored near death. She was no help. I will be calling some other outfit tomorrow to get the job done. But first, I will be calling Best Buy management to give a formal complaint."
"Sorry. But these guys are useless. I got a new Samsung s20 and when I bought it, the rep said that the geek squad were Samsung certified repair specialists. Turns out that not all stores are actually Samsung certified. Only "select" stores are. They were not even certified to fix a broken glass. When I called customer service, they had the audacity to ask me to travel hundereds of miles to get my repair done. Waste of 270 buck for insurance with these buffoons. Not sure about their service support with apple. But I will definitely advise against buying a samsung phone from them."
"To Geek Squad and Best Buy electronics store: They did not return the charger cord when I picked up my wifes computer. We both called and were on hold for extended periods of time . No cut in by ANY reps to even get a live person. This phone system wont allow any other options to speak to a live person. Initially we were happy with the attention received when dropping off our device but this fiasco erased our feelings. We just bought a house and were going into purchase all new appliances from them however this awful experience has fixed that decision. We purchased the 199.00 geek squad tech services, now I'm considering cancelling that option as well, since they dont honor their services. Bestbuy obviously doesn't care about one little customer, like us m, but we add up. They will care when they end up in the heap pile like all the other companies that have either closed up shop or barely hanging on. And guess what? I'll be around to witness it. Bestbuy give your customers what they pay for and keep your depts phone lines available by having employees available and present and dont play around your call centers like a shell game. We ( my husband) ended up going into store to retrieve charger. Well low and behold its dissapeared and they question him if he really dropped it with computer service, of course he says. So he had to come back to me empty handed. Needless to say I was fuming. I Marched into store immediately, spoke directly with a manager. Update After I strenuously aired my dissatisfaction to the manager he really listened to my several grievances and made every effort to correct The managers have done the right thing to correct all the issues so far. I really appreciate their efforts and follow up. Thank you to travis and colin"
"They stole my money. They charged me $99 to repair my phone that had an issue over heating. When I got it back it was still over heating. I asked for a refund but they told me I would have to call corporate, then get a replacement phone for $150. When I called corporate they said the store has to refund me. We had a 3-way call between me, the supervisor at the call center, and a person that worked at this location. They still refuse to refund my money. TLDR charged me to have my phone fixed, the phone wasn't fixed, they kept the money and told me to buy a new phone."
"I went in for a problem with my phone and was the first customer there, but was told I would have to wait because those customers, who popped in just after me and who had appointments would come first. Unfortunately for me, there were only enough Geeks for those customers with appointments. I was left waiting with no idea when I would be helped. A Geek then came and asked if I were being helped, I said no, he then turned to another customer who just came in and helped him instead. When my phone is completely paid for, I'm definitely cancelling my required insurance with Geek Squad and never using them again. That is definitely not what I call good customer service."
