"Update: Julie AKA Stella got a forever home in New Hampshire…Mandy taught us so much during our sessions…prior to transport I shared all the information Mandy taught me. That information was invaluable to the new adoptive parents. I sent them videos of how Mandy taught us to walk, commands and tips to make a smooth transition. They are all happy and Stella has acclimated nicely. They look forward to many walks around the lake near their home. This was my previous post after we started our sessions: Mandy is awesome with me…Julie, my mixed shepherd, is there to watch me learn. Seriously, I’m a wuss when it comes to being a leader. Mandy shows me how I should stop sending mixed signals to poor Julie. I couldn’t control Julie on a walk but now we are way better. I learned to relax and help Julie relax. I always had a death grip on the leash so much so that my hand and my arm hurt. She would drag me around like I was nothing. Not now…I’m in command and Mandy taught me that. So, people reading this…it’s not your dog that’s out of control…it’s YOU. Go fix yourself and you will both be happier. Don’t get me wrong…we have a long way to go but it has really changed the dynamics of at home life with Julie and outdoor walking with Julie. I really thought she wasn’t fixable when all along she only wanted a leader. I used to cry myself to sleep thinking we’d have to put Julie down because she was so out of control. Barking at people and just insane behavior. Thank you Mandy and Man’s Best Friend. With your help and professionalism we are on our way to many happy walks. Julie says thank you too."
