Cummins Southern Plains 3250 North Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76111

"We are an independent parts store who tries to always take care of our customer by getting the items they need and save them the time of running after parts, so we purchased NOX Sensors, which had a core deposit for the old parts, from Cummins Southern Plains Fort Worth in May. We don't drive to Fort Worth daily, so when we have runs in that direction, we do our pickups and returns. Today, we tried to return some cores today and the staff said they were outside the 90 days and could not do a return. I asked to see the policy and they searched and couldn't find it on their invoice or in documentation. I mentioned that since there wasn't a written policy, they should provide a refund. We are not talking about returning a new part, simply the old part for recycling/rebuilding. Our store is now out $459 due to individuals who declined the refund. I mentioned that I was glad that I had put it on a credit card and would dispute the refund amount and the guy, Billy, said they would deny access for me to do business with them, in which my reply was, why would we want to do business if this is the policy. I am contacting their corporate office to try to get a refund. I have attached their "fine print" which states nothing about returning a core within 90 days. Fast Forward, I was able to get Cummins Corporate involved and their Dallas location assisted me in getting my credit. II did have shipping costs involved and several days of calls and emails. Fort Worth do better! If there is no written policy, don't try to scam your customers with some verbal unwritten rule."

"If you don't know the part number don't depend on them knowing it either. My in laws drove their diesel pusher to Texas. The serpentine belt was squealing bad. The road side rescue had 3 belts and found one to fit when it broke, to get them back on the road. Lets make sure we have the correct belt on it. After extensive research, thru the REV RV group which had NO information, and was no help, at least Cummins told us where to get the engine number and if we had that they could get us the right belt. The belt on it was 71.5" long, Cummins said it should be 69.25. Ok makes sense that its slipping as bad as it was. Picked up belt, and after an hour and a half came to the conclusion it was NOT the right belt either. Couldn't get it on at all, tensioner at full compression back. This one is too short by about an inch. NO RETURN on belts, and I asked to double check belt number when we picked it up. Now it was off to Autozone, picked up a HD Diesel belt for considerably cheaper, and you know what, if it didn't fit we could return it! Even has a 3 year warranty. 25 minutes and its on and running. If anyone needs a belt for a Cummins belt for a 5.9L let me know, I have a new one cheap. Part number 3289257."
