"Not very helpful, was told not only could they not take a stray dog because we had held on to her and took her to a vet. But that it was a one month waiting list for us to drop her off. Then one of the staff got Huffy, when I asked if I should just have left her on the side of the road. Then I was told I needed to take her to Travis County, downtown Austin, because I don't live there. Even though she wasn't found far away from there."
"I'm a HUGE proponent of adopting dogs and cats rather than purchasing from breeders or retail. This was my first experience with this shelter, and it was great. The staff were extremely friendly and professional. Their website was easy to navigate, and I was able to look at photos and videos of the available pets before heading to the shelter. You can also fill out all the paperwork in advance online."
"They have many beautiful dogs, wish I could take them all. I got my last dog from there. He is drop dead gorgeous. He was of course skittish at first, now he loves to jump in my lap for lots of love."
"The people who work here are the best! They work hard every day to take care of the animals and keep them safe and happy. They go above and beyond in managing the shelter. The dogs and cats in their care are given the best shelter life possible. The office staff really wants to help the public and are great in answering questions and assisting with adoptions. You could not adopt from a more caring facility."
"My family adopted a Shepard mix a few months ago. The ladies at the shelter were all very nice and made the process as simple as possible. I like many others was a littler nervous adopting a pup that had “history” I was unaware of. She’s turned out to be the absolute best dog we’ve ever owned! Absolutely in love with her. She is a fierce protector of our property and follows me every step I take! Couldn’t be more grateful to have her as a part of our family! Thank you all so very much for what you do."
