"Everyone needs to adopt!!!!! There are hundreds of pets that need good homes.... They deserve it. Adopt!!!! This shelter has excellent service and excellent after care. They will make your experience very easy and affordable. Everyone there is very helpful, and they actually care about the animals and finding good homes for them..."
"The vets and admin staff are usually great. It's hard to get someone on the phone. The facility is freezing and could use some major updates. Also, they only do preventive care."
"The BARC Wellness Center is a great place for spaying or neutering your pets as well as maintaining shots and scripts for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention medications. I've been using them for 3 years now and always feel like my pets are treated warmly and I receive the best prices! They are open, I believe, every day, but on weekends, they aren't open until 2p."
"We visited the wines center. The staff at front was helpful but the vet and assistant was exceptional. I have to give my dog anxiety meds in order to go to the vet and the way they helped him and respect him along with me was amazing. They answered my questions and gave me low cost vet options for him due to a cyst on foot. I only spent $165 for a rabies shot, heartworm test, 6 month supply bravecto, and 6 month supply heartworm meds. Great cost effective for people on a budget."
"I drove out to BARC to visit two kittens that were dropped off the same day. When I got there, I was told by the check in officer that there were no cats at all to visit. I thought this was really strange considering they have two specific pages on their website that indicates which animals are available at the shelter, and which ones are being fostered outside of the shelter. After I pressed him and told him their website (which is updated every hour) showed both cats were there, he sent me to talk to another representative. I was then told that both cats were in fact there but that we couldn't adopt them because they were both going to be picked up by a rescue organization. When I asked if they could tell me which rescue organization so that I could reach out to them, they said there were unable to provide that information for security reasons. How does that make sense?! Isn't the goal to find these animals a home. I was super disappointed in their lack of assistance and inconsiderate attitudes."
