"The owners of Sheena’s Dance Academy are dishonest and deceitful. They put their business above the well-being of the children in their care. An accident happened with my granddaughter while she was at dance, and instead of communicating the problem to us, the owners chose to lie and cover it up. Do not leave your children in their care!!"

"TLDR: My daughter was hurt by the instructor's nephew and the director, Sheena, covered up the incident by cutting the video of footage of my daughter getting knocked down and hitting her head on the floor. NO COMMUNICATION. NO CONCERN FOR CHILDREN. My daughter has been going to Sheena's Dance Academy for two years. Over her time there, I have been bothered by the lack of communication. My daughter is in a young group and has been knocked over and minorly hurt a few times. I've let it go in the past, but today she was knocked over by a little boy, and she hit her head on the hardwood floor. The staff did not call me or inform my mother-in-law when she picked up my daughter. After a few unreturned phone calls, I finally got a hold of the director's mother. She told me that someone would call me back and said, "If something had really happened, you would have been notified." The instructor called me back and gave me a story that was different from my daughter's. She informed me that the little boy in question was her nephew and that she knows that "he would never do anything to hurt someone intentionally." I asked to see the security tape of the incident and was told that if I came up within the hour, I could see it. My husband and I immediately drove to Sheena's. Once we arrived, we were told that the video wasn't ready. We were then called into the Sheena's office where Sheena, her mother, and the instructor were waiting. They played the video and 6 seconds of the footage was missing- conveniently, the part when the incident occurred. When I asked about the missing video, Sheena turned red and got defensive, asking me what I was accusing her of. She then went on to say that the video "sometimes does that." Her mother then piped in telling me that my daughter is a typical girl that is full of drama. I have filed a police report against the studio for covering up an incident involving a head injury of a child. I will NOT send my daughter back to this studio, and will make it my mission to warn everyone that I can to stay away from this institution. There is no communication, no compassion, and no concern for the wellbeing of the children that are enrolled in that school. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE."

"My daughter has been at this school for the past two years, and we have been extremely pleased. She is preschool age, but it amazes me the things she picks up from her classes. She truly enjoys it, and she looks forward to going each week. Staff is supportive, available, and pleasant."

"My daughter is 2.5 and has been dancing at this studio for just over a month. The teachers a friendly, kind and patient. The front desk staff is also kind and helpful. Most of all, I appreciate that the instructors are masked and students use hand sanitizer. It shows that this studio really cares about the health and well-being of their dancers!
