"Well… well… well.. I am back again. If you guys took the time, to go through the reviews you’ll see I left positive feedback which was a lie. I did it as a courtesy for Monica, the old property manger over these properties. She said it would make the big boss, Cindy St. Patrick so elated and it’ll show she’s really handling true business which was furthest from the truth. I can honestly say, from the looks of these townhomes looking from the outside you think “beautiful “ these look nice and well kept. But if you’re not too busy one day, just come in and get a dose of how it really is. It’s like living in the projects! The trash is super ridiculous, and one of my mom and I main complaints with living here. We pay for water, sewerage, and trash . Just for the trash to look the way it does. This property is the most lowest, poorest, sickest, unprofessional, unpredictable, ghetto (etc) places I have ever rented from. Each person they’ve had as a manager, has been incredibly terrible. They cannot keep maintenance, and when they do its like they might as well not have any still. They hire anybody, who’s simply incapable of getting the job done. You call down to the office … they never answer the phones . it’s been like this since we first moved here which was July 31st, 2017…. And things have yet to change and improve. Everyone in the office that has been hired, do not know half of the job and when it comes down to tenants… them not knowing what to do is crippling us and making things much harder. This property is extremely money hungry, and it shows with different situations that arise. We’ve been notified that Monica, Alicia, and Cindy are/were mishandling funds and some other things that is just so wild and unbelievable to me. It’s no respect towards or for the tenants that reside here. One thing that in facts shows no respect toward (us) is when they want to inform you of important activities/information happening they will stick a letter on your door instead of calling or sending out an Email. That is so disrespectful, and unprofessional. And oh let me not forget that not only, are you getting a notice on your door. You’re getting a notice the same day, or a day before the activity is due to take place. So for an example, if they’re having walk days which is when they walk through your unit for whatever reason they expect you to be home and present or else they’re gonna walk right on in at any given time. Let them tell it, they’re always finding out information late themselves (the employees in the office/manager) which is supposed to justify why they failed to make you aware much sooner. It’s ton of African Americans over here, who mess it up for the ones like myself and mother. But even with that, respect should be automatic. But they they owe you nothing , and it shows in their actions. The superiority of each manger, and the regional manger Cindy is mind boggling. Cindy being the regional manger, is never on her JOB. She NEVER answers her phone, or calls you back which is done purposely. I do not quite understand how she’s become this successful and lasted this long in the industry. Everything about her sucks. I do not trust this property no further than I can throw them. We have been lied on, and lied to. And moving forward, we care not to deal with them because they can lie as they’ve already done and it can cost us big time. They send out their version of a bill , it’s called “yes energy “… which just started being consistent with mailing it out but before it was never on time and never accurate which it’s (still never accurate). My mom and I never understood them, so to make sure we had accurate understanding we would call to have it broken down to us by Alicia Starr. Alicia at this time, when things were all good… had no problem breaking it down so our check would be correct charges owed for that month. Well December sometime 2022. Alicia calls very sarcastically and says “oh you know you guys haven’t been paying your water and sewerage it’s been 5 month out ”. Uh unbeknownst to us…"
"Very unprofessional group of people in the leasing office not worth the money . I have been here 3 years . I will not renew again . When my family walks out side our door this is what we have being seeing for months . Very large amounts of trash and furniture sits for weeks at a time . This brings all kinds of animals and bugs . I am truly disgusted by the way I am treated when I have an issue. I hope this helps someone who may be considering moving here ."
"I have lived here for 2 years. The place is infested terribly with roaches. I do not suggest living here unless you want roaches birthing thousands of roach babies throughout all of your belongings. The bugs enter your unit through the several cracks and crevices within the apartments. I'm not sure if all units are infested, but the the inflated rental rates moving into a daily and nightly nightmare is not at all worth taking that risk. I've made many efforts to rid or at least reduce the amount of roaches but none really suffice. Once while tryna to figure out why they were just showing up on the wall, i sat and stared at the wall and there they were, emerging from an opening that wasn't even a millimeter wide. Prevention services do not do any justice. I praised God when I was able to finally break lease and move elsewhere. Please don't waste you time and money!!!"
"I have no complaints about Bentwood Townhomes, the apartment & complex were great & accommodated myself and my 2 children fairly well, so well in fact, I moved away for a short while and moved back AND was welcomed with open arms by Monica & Chris! Prior to my final move away FROM Bentwood Townhomes, I was asked repeatedly by Monica, to reconsider leaving, even offered a different unit if I stayed! Which is the basis for this review: Monica should be fired for her extremely unprofessional behavior and blatant violation of tenant’s rights! I was shocked and appalled at the verbal reference given directly by her, to the potential apartment’s that reached out to her regarding my rental history. She (illegally) went beyond what information they were privy too, to the point of outright lying, all because I WOULD NOT renew another lease with Bentwood! Monica gave the worse possible verbal reference that you could give a past tenant!! (And by the way, WHY would you want a tenant to stay; who doesn’t pay rent on time, is dirty, loud, etc., and if it were true why wasn’t ANY of this EVER documented???) Her slander and inappropriate actions have hindered my future apartment searches tremendously. And this, apparently wasn’t the first time she has exhibited this “retaliatory behavior”, which according to HUD & Fair Housing guidelines, is illegal! My next filing is a direct complaint against her with HUD! Bentwood Townhomes should be ashamed that they continuously allow this behavior from staff!"
"I have been a resident at Bentwood Townhomes for three years now. I like it over here and will be here for years to come. With my experience with living in an apartment complex, Bentwood management has been the best!!!! I love Monica and her staff, they freakin rocks!!! Monica gets the job done. If there is ever a problem, she’s there to help. The neighborhood is kid friendly and quiet. My children really enjoy staying over in this area. I love how they are attentive with the children such as, the recreation center, after school programs, summer programs and transportation, events for the community, etc. Thank you Bentwood!!!"
