"I have lived here for half a year and I would say the experience is not good. Firstly, the apartment is too old. The cold air will leak into the room in winter. The furnace sometimes stopped working, which made the apartment really cold and uncomfortable. They still charge us $110 a month for gas (heating). Secondly, the AC is really noisy so if you use it in summer, you will never fall asleep. Thirdly, the maintenance team never takes off their shoes or wears shoe's covers before entering the apartment. The maintenance request often took a week to finish. Fourthly, the building is by the Kingshighway blvd which is a very noisy street. At night, I often heard extremely loud and harsh noises from fire fight trunks even though I lived on the 13th floor. It is not worth the price. So never consider living in this apartment even if you will only stay for a short period of time."
"Very friendly staff especially the front desk staff! Maintenance is very quick and helpful whenever I put in a request. Also they put on fun events with Montclair to help us get to know our neighbors."
"It seems like all the positive reviews about this property is about the events but not the quality of service they offer which makes me doubt that mac property paid for people to post 5 star reviews. Anyways, I will keep updating my negative experience and warn people to avoid living at this horrible place. It has been a month since I found out the driers in the basement had no heat. Went drying my laundry today, the 'no heat' sign was removed by someone so I thought the driers were fixed. In fact they were not. Still no heat, and I just wasted time and money again to dry my laundry in a drier with no heat.I have also not received refund for using the bad drier the previous time, despite the property manager promising "they are on the way' a month ago. A recent maintenance request involving changing battery for the smoke detector took over 10 days to complete. I mean seriously, a 6 year old can probably solve this issue quicker than that. It seems like all the maintenance staffs are on vacation all the time. Contacting property manager won't resolve anything. I can't find any place that has more horrible service than parc frontenac. I am seriously questioning the professionalism of the management team here."
"Normally I don't do this, but now I just have to. A week ago I expreienced troubles using the shared dryer in the basement. Two of the driers had no heat and left my laundry wet. It was not until the third try that I got a correctly functioning one. I immediately called the property manager to report the issue and asked for a refund. It has been a week and I still have not received my refund, nor have the driers been fixed. All it had there was sticky notes saying driers have no heat, left by the residents. As of today, more and more wahsers and driers are acting up: one washer with the door fallen off, another irresponsive, yet another had no water. Seems like the maintenence staffs never worked here to address any problems. I am seriously questioning how this property received a 4.2 star review on GMap while providing such poor service and experience to its residents. This is only the second week after move-in and I can't imagine how much more inconvenience and disappointmment this property is going to bring in the future."
"This place is way overpriced for what it offers. The building is old, kitchen was dirty, especially the area around stoves there were a lot of food remains left there uncleaned. Fridge was dirty as well, with weird smell coming out of it. The ice made by the icemaker in the freezer had a disgusting taste, probably from being dirty too. The elevators are tiny, not big enough for residents to move larger furnitures, and they break all the time. Believe it or not, it hasn't been a week since move in and 2 of the 3 elevators are down. And they only provide small shopping carts for residents to move in. What a genius idea. Sound insulation is horrible, I was waken up by neighbor's dog barking every morning at 7am. The AC are as loud as jet engines. I had high expectations for this apartment because of its previous good reviews but am so dissapointed after move in. Definately would not recoomend anyone to live here and I cannot wait to leave."
