"I called to speak to a psychiatrist about setting up an appointment for a new one. The main psychiatrist is Dr. Elen Tylkin. For previous psychiatrist offices, the person on the phone was really polite and kind, but I got really cold vibes from the person taking calls. I felt like he didn't know what to ask or what to say, and it felt like poor customer service etiquette. You know how it sounds when someone is smiling on the phone? Well, I definitely did. It was awkward. When I was transferred to the doctor, I was asked by Dr. Tylkin why I was finding a psychiatrist. I told her what my reason was. But this interaction made me still feel like I didn't matter as a client. Hesitantly, I made an appointment because I need one. But after feeling uneasy about that interaction, I felt like that was how all sessions were going to go. So, I called right back to cancel saying that I was going to go with another doctor, and the phone etiquette was still bad. In customer service, even if you can't help someone or they decide to cancel, it's best to say in a situation where they want to cancel, "That's okay. I will go ahead and do that for you. I hope you have a great day/weekend. Take care!" You do this so that the person feels welcomed to call back if they decide to change their mind. Anyways, I'm glad I canceled because who knows how the sessions would have gone."
"Front desk is very rude! Like she doesn’t care and she hates her job"
