"My doctor’s been trying for a couple of months to get me into these people. If I have something they could kill me this is time that’s REALLY working against me… I finally asked my dr to refer me out a network, and this office called me, however, they scheduled my appointment for “next Thursday” on Friday the 23rd… That would make my appointment today. They didn’t tell me where they’re located, so I don’t know where I’m going, and they won’t answer their phone, AT ALL, like before. I never even got an appointment reminder call, and the appointment time is not uploaded to my Mercy… They only answer their phones for doctors apparently. I dont want to go to a doctor that won’t talk to me AT ALL.. anf again I have no clue where I’m going.. I also do not put it past them to try to say I have no appointment today given how they scheduled me for “next Thursday” and won’t answer the phone now… if they try to pull that mess.. theyd better not try to bill my insurance… I won’t pay that… and I’ll IMMEDIATELY report them for denying me access to my appointment, then charging me for it. if you’re declining me service, you don’t get to collect… don’t play with peoples LIVES!!!"
"Update 5/22/23 - Mercy reached out and sent an email stating they would like to talk further about my experience. I responded with yes that would be great and provided my phone number. That was months ago. I have responded several times to that email stating still waiting to share my story, no one has ever called me....Clearly it is an auto response that no one is monitoring. My husband was recommended to this office from his primary Dr. months ago. We were unable to schedule an appointment because my husbands job at the time did not have flexibility and we just couldn't make it work. Now he has a more flexible job so I tried to call to schedule an appointment. After leaving several messages, I never received a phone call back. (even though their recording says someone will call you back within 24 hours Monday through Friday) I finally went a different route today and pressed a different option to get to the nurse and explained the situation. She encourage me to have his primary do a Dr. to Dr. referral. I reached out the the primary who responded and called me back within 30 minutes to tell me they would not schedule the appointment because months ago we told them their hours were not convenient and we went to someone else. I am beyond blown away about Quality Care in the medical industry. The fact that no one could return the call so there could be a conversation about what has changed and why we were seeking their medical care is unacceptable in my opinion. To refuse treatment because he had to work? I think the primary's office was a little surprised as well (I hope they can report it somewhere in the Mercy network) The reason we were switching because we wanted to get all of our Dr's under one hospital so we could utilize the mercy portal better since Dr offices are so hard to get a hold of any more. Hours later I am still shaking my head in disbelief. An individuals well being should be the priority! Clearly not theirs."
"I went and was rudely treated by the staff. The Dr didn't understand English as a first language. She missed facts in her report and got other facts wrong. I have no idea where she got the things she misrepresented"
"My husband was referred to this office by another Mercy doctor. I called this office immediately upon leaving the internist’s. I left a message, called 3 more times, and the office was still busy. Finally on the following day,I talked to the receptionist about the referral and was told that the dr would review the chart in 3-4 days and call me 7-8 days later and let me know if my husband was accepted as a patient. I never heard from the doctor and called the office again 7 days after calling them 7 days later. I was again told that the doctor was too busy to review the chart and wouldn’t be able to get back to me for 6 to 7 days. This is unacceptable. My husband is on the 3rd round of vancomycin to treat c-diff and developed a rash on his arms, then trunk and was prescribed steroids. The internist wanted him to be seen in 5-7 days. Obviously, that is not going to happen. We got an appointment with an Infectious Disease specialist outside the Metcy network and will be seen in 2 weeks."
"This place is a joke. I had confirmed rmsf in late september of 2017 by 4 different doctors and a hospital. Did partial treatment with doxycycline had an allergic reaction (respiratory failure, and blisters), was pulled of doxy given another antibiotic, ended up pregnant shorty after (end of october). Seen dr christ who still confirmed it was there in november. He put me on a year of less strong antibiotics. Had baby in july of 18. Fast forward to june of 19. Got rebit retested high numbers again. Primary care dr considered that i cant take doxy sends me here. Dr Gass proceeds to tell me because i didnt have the rash or characteristic fever i never had it. Lol. Cdc confirmed with me in 2017 & recent. Not everyones symptoms are the same not everyone gets the rash. Then he proceeds to tell me he will test me for ra and lupus but to follow up with primary care dr. Why even waste anyones time. Its pretty obvious they dont care whats going on, they dont care to find out what is wrong and they dont help. The rest of the hospital is great but avoid here at all cost."
