Reviews
"I rarely write reviews but I felt compelled to write this today. Dr. Herrera is a wonderful pediatrician! When I moved from Boston to TX over 16 yrs ago, I was worried about finding a good physician for my children. She is very compassionate, loving, ethical, patient, and professional. She always has a smile on her face and treats us with the utmost respect. I trust her implicitly with my children and know that she always has their best interest at heart. Her staff are also wonderful and a great extension of her. She has cared for three of my children and I can honestly say, all of them adore her and enjoy seeing her. Thank you for everything you do! "Dr. Herrera has taken wonderful care of our three children. She is extremely kind and knowledgeable. She is patient and instructive during the newborn phase, but once the children are around one and able to engage with her, she conducts the visit almost entirely with the child. She teaches them about their bodies, boundaries, and behavior. Dr H empowers the children to be engaged in their own health by discussing and understanding their own nutrition, sleep, the importance of education, family dinners, exercise, friends, and personal safety. It is an honor to have her taken care of my family."
"Dr Hererra and her staff is excellent. She is thorough, kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. She has a warm and friendly demeanor and always greets us with a smile. I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else! My twins don’t love going to the doctor of course, but she makes it tolerable for them and I know they are getting excellent care. We love our pediatrician!"
"If I could give a zero I would. Eighteen years ago I moved from California to Texas and selected Monica as my unborn daughter's pediatrician without meeting her. After giving birth and at our first visit with Monica, she spent more time drilling me about being a single mother and asking where the father was than asking me about the baby. It's been 18 years and this still hurts me. This horrific experience is once again a topic because my daughter graduated high school at 16 with a 4.8 gpa, in the top 10 percent of her class, scored in the 99th percentile on the ACT and SAT and is now attending college on the pre-med track to be a pediatrician. As you can see, I was very capable of raising my daughter as a single mother. I am not sure why Monica treated me this way. I can only assume it was because I am black. I made a 6 figured salary, had private insurance and was not on any government assistance. Not that anyone should be treated this way, I feel she treated me as such because of her assumptions. I am proud my daughter has chosen to be a pediatrician because we need more black doctors. Monica, I wanted you to know this...as you can see 18 years has I passed and I still remember this as if it was yesterday. I can only pray that you have not treated anyone else this way and if you have, I hope my admission will promote change."
