"Mackinaw Office*** Never in my life have I been fired. Today I was let go 2 days before my 90 day probation period and 2 hours before our work Christmas party. Reasoning: “We just don’t think you are fit for this position.” I had applied via indeed for the receptionist position at $15/hr. Upon interview, I was told they actually needed me as a mix of CNA/receptionist for $2 more/hr. I accepted it. 3 weeks into the job my trainer was unexpectedly transferred & I was stuck alone performing tasks WAY out of my CNA scope : gathering pt medical history, medication history, taking NURSES calls & entering notes as NURSE, helping nurse file PAPER charts, perform mental exams, eye exams. All the while, I have sent several emails and had several meetings with management & HR about how uncomfortable I felt. I was PROMISED a $4 raise as soon as I earned Medical Assistant license approx Spring of next year. I was denied transfer to a different dept as I was desperately needed at my office. Mind you, I JUST started as a student extern 4 DAYS ago & have been performing above duties as a CNA. I was told my performance was excelling expectations & I had nothing but excellent feedback from employees and patients. My main supervisor BEGGED me to stay & work through it as it gets better after a few months. Not only have I been crying every night because of overwhelming work, I had been constantly harassed by the new receptionist & new nurse. We were all hired around same time almost exactly 3 months ago. We were told it was going to be a + experience helping each other grow finding our flow as 3 person team at a VERY busy office. The tension was always negative as those 2 were hardly ever happy (complaining every time patients entered, receptionist freaking out & yelling when I asked a question, nurse condescending after she asked me to give injections after I repeatedly told her I’m only a CNA.) I am a very OPTIMISTIC individual & truly care about my patients- it’s my passion to work in healthcare! The 2 grown women would passively gossip about me 2 feet AWAY, get an attitude when I would take my LEGAL 30 minute break, & demand me to help them catch up with their duties even though I was told my main focus is to work on upcoming patient visit forms, gather vital signs and room patients. When I was fired out of nowhere in our office “break room,” I was told there were complaints I was “on my phone too much.” Every time I was on my personal cell, I was on BREAK. I was told I disappeared (as I took my BREAK), harassed daily & ultimately fired for addressing my issues. The whole office would give me the cold shoulder every time I said I wanted to take my legal and entitled 30 min break. They “frowned upon it” because no one else had time due to always being “behind on work.” I reached out & had several meetings with HR, my main supervisor & the lead nurse throughout all of this. Near the end, I was told I should not rely on other people to perform MY duties. I have never felt so under appreciated, bullied & targeted in my life. I was fired after seeking help."
"I wish I could give this ER a negative review but, you have to give one star. I would NEVER trust this place and you shouldn’t either! 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!"
"Great local hospital that takes great care of its patients! Very friendly and courteous staff! Great outdoor patio to enjoy while waiting!"
"I have been going HMC since 06, Doctor Burmagarter retire Dr. Matt took over as my primary doctor and he has been the best doctor I have been to. He is very knowledgeable and helpful to get me better. But I do agree that their are some very rude nurses and doctors in the facility that don't call and check on you after surgery nor give you any medicine to help with the pain for said surgery. But I am glad I don't have to deal with them but on certain occasions."
"Had a visit to ER and never experienced a doctor with such great patient care. Brought my blankets and drink. Most doctors send nurses for that. When I arrived I was really worked up and he calmed me down. Thank you Dr. Griffith for the great care in the ER."
