"Arrived at 230 in the morning. I had to be the one to speak first. When I told him I had a reservation. He looked at me like I was lying. The first room was nice and spacious. But it was missing blinds. The next one was small and dirty. I was even reassured that it was ready to go. The icing on the cake was the toilet wouldn't flush toilet paper. Free Breakfast was exactly something someone would server people they didn't like. Plus the guy putting out the food was chewing on something. I'm pretty sure that's a health code violation. The apple juice tasted water down too. I don't know how this place got above 2 stars from anyone."

"I understand it's my first night and I understand that it's only been about 40 minutes. I'm already upset picking points over the drink/snack. I assumed there would be coffee ready downstairs and there is none. I assumed there would be entrances on the side of the building because all of the front parking spots are reserved for diamond elite members, and there is not. I also assumed I would not be placed on the 4th floor because they are renovating it. Of course, i was placed on the fourth floor. It smells like garbage and cigarettes. I thought a hot shower might help me feel better, but I am having to choose between hot water or water pressure. My stay is four nights. I'm sure i'pl have many more horrid updates, during the week, at this rate."

"From the time we arrived until we left, staff was outstsnding everyone that worked here was polite and helpful. We had 3 rooms reserved and our family was very happy with this hotel . The hotel was going through remodel, and we never would have known.We will stay here again because we go to chicago often due to family living in Chicago. "We were in town from Southern Ohio to attend an alumni event for my wife and her friend. This hotel was very convenient from the location of the event in Edison Park. The room was very nice, and the staff was welcoming. My wife's only complaint was that the toiletries were a bit limited. She was hoping for a disposable toothbrush and single-use toothpaste pouch that we've seen at other hotels (since we forgot to bring our travel dental care kits). Other than that, everything seemed nice for the price of the room. The breakfast was very nice, with pretty much every item you could think of (i.e. cereal, yogurt, bacon, omelettes, pancakes, cinnamon rolls and more!). If we ever find ourselves in northern Chicago we will definitely consider this hotel again!"

"The staff at this Holiday Inn were great, especially the breakfast staff. They were friendly, helpful, and made sure that we had everything we needed. The breakfast itself was also very good, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Unfortunately, the furniture in the lobby was stained and didn't look very nice. Additionally, the floor in our room had a blood or wine stain on it (see pictures). Overall, we had a good stay at this Holiday Inn. The staff was great, the breakfast was good, and the room was comfortable. However, the stained furniture in the lobby and the stain on the floor in our room were disappointing. Despite these issues, we would still recommend this Holiday Inn to others. The staff is great, the breakfast is good, and the rooms are clean and comfortable"
