"(Long and detailed review) Had a less than stellar stay I will say. After driving 9 hrs we checked in late to a "smoke free" facility to room that literally smelled like a chimney. After immediately mentioning this to night time front desk, the remedy suggested was that we leave our room for 15-20 minutes while they sprayed air freshener. Because we were exhausted, we declined the first offer only to wake up the next morning to the room smelling like fresh cigarette smoke. At this point it was unbearable, so we mentioned it AGAIN to front desk. Wonderful representative named Steven immediately understood our frustration, discounted our first night and moved us to a room that smelled amazing. Unfortunately before we could get really settled in, to our disgust, we noticed dried up bodily fluid on the headboard of the bed and the seat of the toilet. We took pictures and asked Steven to view it himself. After being disgusted as well, he assured us that he would move us to another room that he would personally clean spotless and would do an additional compensation for one day. That helped, but we decided to wait in the lobby (that was particularly cold due to the weather) while he cleaned. Unfortunately we are currently still waiting (@ the time I am writing this review). It is almost noon and our next set of plans start at 3p. Let's hope it gets better from here huh ?"
"reserved rooms and was given the bottom floor and specific conjoin rooms for my daughters slumber party invites. I wanted the bottom floor by the pool and so nobody would be disturbed from the kids. I arrive and we are on the top floor instead and the pool was closed for several hours. My first room I found a bed bug in the bed.. got moved to a second room and floor was filthy and fridge was on the floor....moved to 3rd room and my room was no longer in a conjoined hotel room to supervise my daughters 14th sleep over. The manager said he would try to give 50% discount and acted as if all my troubles were normal. Next morning at check out he had not discounted the stay as promised and left. I am disappointed with the customer service and how the rooms were dirty. It's not hard to sweep, mop, or wipe down walls. I use to love this hotel but it has gone down hill fast. Had I of brought the bed bugs to my house from the hotel that would of been an expense out of my own pocket and the manager had nerve to offer just 50% off after being switched to 3 different rooms making us have 6 different key cards. Room 311 had a bed bug in it. I give a 1 star only bc they have nice size tvs."
"We’ve stayed at LaQuinta properties before and had a good experience but I wouldn’t stay here again. Good location right off the highway. While we stayed in a pet friendly room, I did not expect to find a puddle of something under the armchair. It also looked as if there was smeared poop on the floor, hopefully from the last pet and not a person, but it had not been cleaned up. I also am not confident the sheets were changed prior to our arrival as there was dog hair on them that did not belong to our pets (different hair color). The king bed was also a pit. Unless you slept on the very edge you ended up rolling into the middle. Super uncomfortable."
"If you are disabled, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! Three of us stayed in Nov, 2023 for 6 nights. One was a wheelchair user. Their "Handicap Accessible room" was NOT ACCESSIBLE! Here is a list of the failures of this hotel and their lack of even trying to make things right. -There was no shower bench or chair. As a paraplegic, full-time chair user, there is no way to bathe. When we made them aware (upon check-in), they said that they have this problem often, but just won’t do anything to fit it. We ended up moving a pool chair into the shower. It was huge, had no ledge to hold soap, shampoo, etc and was very difficult to transfer into and out of. It was a horrible "fix," come up with by us because we were on vacation & didn't want to spend the entire vacation fighting for ADA rights that were already fought for before 1990! -There were no low tables or counters that a wheelchair user could reach. We ended up bringing in a short table from the pool area. They obviously saw this (and the pool chair) in the room, yet never said anything about it to us. -The toilet is not accessible height. -The sink not accessible height. -There is no chair lift at pool. -The outlets are not accessible at all- it’s 8 in off ground, should be 18-24 in. Beside accessibility, only one outlet not covered by furniture. -There was no toilet paper holder, so tp had to be set on the bar... like the bar that disabled people use to transfer onto the toilet. Other than accessibility, the hotel was extremely disappointing... -Housekeeping did not come for days at a time and we had to remind them that we needed them to come. -Our room keys stopped working every single day. When we brought them to the desk to ask them to re-key them, we let them know it was happening every day. The clerk said we must be putting them near our car key fob or cell phone. We reiterated that we had not, and she said that’s the only way that happens. -The breakfast was sparse and disgusting. We made them aware of almost every issue and the words, “I’m sorry.” were not once uttered by ANY employee. EVER. They treated us as if they were doing us a favor by allowing us to stay in their hotel. Any big or small feedback we provided was met with the reason why it was our fault or the fact that they do not deal with those "problems.""
"We had a wonderful experience at this location. We did not have a reservation. The attendant at the front desk on Monday evening was extremely helpful. She let us check out the pool area and hot tub temperature before booking, since our kids wanted to swim. We were given a very comfortable and clean room. The beds were comfortable and the pull out sofa had clean sheets. I did ask for extra pillows which were delivered very quickly by the same attendant. Other reviews mentioned roaches...we did not see any bugs anywhere. The entire hotel appeared to be very clean, including the water in the pool and hot tub. Breakfast in the morning was what you would expect and it was hot and delicious: waffle station for the kids, hot scrambled eggs and turkey sausage. Cereal and pastry options with yogurt and juices. Water and coffee was available 24/7 in the lobby. The breakfast attendant was so kind. She was walking around making sure people were happy and offered to take our empty plates when we were done. It's a La Quinta, not the Ritz. We had a very comfortable stay."
