"Pros Quiet convenient reasonable AC unit worked well two refrigerators very helpful and friendly desk staff real half and half at the coffee station Ham on the buffet nice waffles We felt safe. Hydrangea plants outdoors were gorgeous! We did not take advantage of it but it appeared that there was a park nearby. Cons The room that we booked smelled smoky, despite it being a non-smoking inn. The good news is that the front desk staff did not question, and quickly and efficiently found a second room which smelled fresh and clean. The surroundings could use some scrubbing and updating. Carpet and halls were stained, and there were areas of unraveling your thresholds. Chairs were worn in the breakfast area. The coffee machine was not so tasty. Healthy options are limited. Eggs tasted sort of different, like maybe from powder? Healthy options limited, they did have yogurt, some fruit"
"We booked at the last minute. Room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff very friendly. Great rate and included breakfast."
"You get what you pay for. Not the fanciest or most modern. There was a smell in the hallway. They did spray. Honestly I think it's the area. Gas station just down the road was terrible. Staff was great. Bed was good. I usually don't sleep well in hotels but it was quiet enough and comfortable enough. Breakfast was OK. Omelet made for you on the spot. My vegetarian wife even has plenty of options. Overall 8/10"
"I will start by saying that we will not be staying here again. Now that that is out of the way, I will write about our stay. First, the good. The service was friendly at the desk, and the breakfast attendant was making fresh eggs to order with a smile on her face, however you wanted them: omelettes, sunny side up/down, scrambled, whatever, with bacon, sausage, peppers, cheese, and other add-ins as your heart desired. The breakfast was definitely the best part of the stay. PLEASE NOTE: The room doors do not fully close under their own weight. They must be pushed/pulled hard so that they latch. The room is the reason we will never stay again. *There was mold on the shower curtain. *There was mold on the Air Conditioner. *There was mold on the wall next to the desk. *The toilet chain was disconnected when we arrived, so I had to remove the top, reach into the reservoir, and reconnect it myself. Even after that, we still had issues with the chain getting caught inside, which is probably why they had detached it in the first place. *The bathtub drain was completely broken off and sitting on the edge of the tub when we arrived, as if it was in the middle of repairs. *The mirror in the bathroom was streaked and dirty. *There were crumbs and hair behind the coffee maker in the bathroom. (Yes, the coffeemaker and ice bucket were within 3 feet of the toilet. Note for management: It would probably be better out on the office desk or somewhere else away from the bathroom.) *There were hairs stuck to the hair dryer in the bathroom. *There were crumbs in the bed under the sheets. I seriously doubt they get changed between guests. *The sheets were stained with black lines on the covers. *The lampshade was bent, though I was able to fix it mostly. *The smoke detector was literally hanging down from the ceiling by the wires. I did try to fix that and was mostly successful, but wow. *The bed cover was the wrong size for the bed, using a king size on a queen bed. *The carpets in the room and the hallways were stained and spotted all over, with much of the hallway carpet in pretty bad shape, with furrows and hills all over from poor stretching. *The floor in the elevator had water damage, with the seams of the wood laminate bulging and rippling. *When we first arrived in the room, it was stiflingly hot. There was no difference in the "low" vs. "high" fan settings, so I think it was reprogrammed to not go to the high setting. It took about 8 hours for the room to get cool enough to turn the AC off. *There was a random second mini fridge, also plugged in. That would be nice, I suppose, but the handle was broken and sharp, and there was rust on the shelves, and it was dirty. *Overall, most things in the room were dusty: the phone, the TV, behind the coffee maker, the shelf in the closet, etcetera. It wasn't super gross to the point where we didn't want to touch anything, but we also didn't want to go barefoot, and we would not want to stay here again. At nearly $100 for the night, it was not worth it."
