"My wife and I took a long weekend and wanted to visit Galena again. We have taken many trips and our first bed and breakfast experience, in Saugatuak, MI, was a dud. We tried to give it another try for our anniversary and it was SO much better. Mark, Luke, and Elaine were very kind, welcoming, helpful, and completely flipped our expectations of what a bed and breakfast could be. As for the the logistcs, The Farmers Guest House is easily walkable to and from Downtown Galena, the room was comfy and relaxing, and my wife and I both said some of the best food we had was at breakfast (the Pumpkin spice cheesecake for her and the cheesy potatoes for me). We've already talked about coming back and we know where we'll be staying."

"Wow… just wow. This was our first bed and breakfast experience within walking distance to downtown Galena. My husband and I took the trip to Galena to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed in the Mary. Luke, Elaine, and Mark are top notch. Everything provided was gluten free for me and was absolutely amazing. They provided cookies, crackers and cheese, wine, and bottles water daily. I have never felt more welcomed and taken care of than at this place. I would recommend this place 100x over and over again. We can’t wait to come back."

"This was our first B & B experience and it did not disappoint. This was a true down home family experience. The rooms were comfy, not large but comfortable. The beds and sheets were extremely cozy and comfortable. But what really made this place special was the breakfast and customer service. Mark gives the inn the warm, cozy family feeling while Luke and Elaine bring a fun energetic vibe. The breakfast was nothing short of amazing, along with the local coffee and baked goods. We will be back!!"

"My husband and I stayed in the Jennie for our first visit to Galena - our anniversary trip sans kiddos. Just a quick walk to Main Street - the location was perfect. Luke really set us off on the right foot when he called earlier in the week to confirm our visit and explain the check-in procedures - he was just so warm and welcoming. He had "Wine Time" (a bottle of wine, cheese, crackers amd sweets) waiting for us in our room. Really kicked off our stay in the best way. Beds and linens were all super cozy. Our room and the inn were very clean. Breakfast really pushed our stay over the top - hands down the best breakfast I've ever had. I really enjoyed getting to interact with Luke, Elaine and Mark at breakfast. Elaine's enthusiasm for her craft is absolutely contagious. They are some of the warmest, most welcoming hosts. We can't wait to come back!"

"I’ve stayed at several locations in Galena and this was by far the best!! Mark, Luke & Elaine are the best hosts and they make sure you have everything you need. We received a bottle of wine each afternoon during wine time, along with crackers, cheese and the best warm chocolate chip cookies, and we loved that we received a choice of items needed each day on a checklist that we could leave on the door. The breakfast each morning was nothing less than superb! They have a large dining room and you receive a hot meal every morning that was more food than my husband and I could eat. Not to mention they offered amazing coffee, juice and/or mimosas. We stayed in Annie’s cottage and it was perfect. Very clean and comfortable! It was a nice secluded cottage behind the guest house. It was also within walking distance to all of the shops and restaurants on Main Street. I’ve already recommended Farmers Guest House to family and friends, and I hope this review helps others. I highly recommend!!"
