"What a great experience! If you can't get to Ireland, The Irish Cottage Inn will magically transport you there. The hotel and pub combo have a lovely, welcoming vibe. Our modern room was comfortable. I especially enjoyed some quiet time in the Irish-style library lounge overlooking the valley hills. The spacious pub offers great drink, food and music. The pub staff are outstanding. Joy & Elliott are wonderfully friendly and attentive. The hotel staff are also lovely; special shout-out to Nathaniel for his helpful, caring service. We wish we'd used the free shuttle service; parking in Galena is a challenge! We did have a lovely time in the town of Galena; especially loved: Vinny Vituchucci's; Galena Books & Paper and the Galena Center for the Arts where we attended a sweet table reading of a play. Thanks to all for a sweet, memorable experience!"

"I’ve stayed at the Irish Cottage and Inn twice. Both times I’ve been here we’re absolutely amazing. The rooms are nice and the bed was very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and will help you with anything you need. And the restaurant attached to the hotel has amazing food and entertainment. It has been an absolute blast to stay at this hotel. I can’t recommend it enough."

"This is such a cozy inn! My husband and I stayed here right before Christmas. It was a perfect spot to break up our drive home to visit family. The inn was decorated so nice, the staff was great-at the check in and at the restaurant next door. Complementary breakfast is always a plus- especially when there are eggs that are actually good! The room was so clean, and well maintained. Only wish is that we could have stayed longer."

"Location is quite nice, especially for those wanting to stay at a full service hotel (with a restaurant/bar attached to boot!). The room we had is quite nice. Clean, good balance of modern and rustic. Best part is the shuttle service and the unofficial city tourism guide, Brian. He was professional and prompt, and quite informative. He provided us with a brief tour of the downtown area, including recommendations. Overall, very much recommend a stay at the Irish for those visiting Galena."

"We enjoyed our stay here and the room was clean and comfortable. Daily maid service is not automatic, but if desired, it will be gladly provided. We had dinner on the Pub's back deck, which was an enjoyable experience. The deck runs a good way around the back and can be used by guests just wanting a break. Complimentary breakfast is good, but the tea time treats are just so so. It is an enjoyable walk to the Grant mansion and downtown Galena. Spend the day exploring, then hop on Irish's complimentary shuttle back to the hotel. Peace."
