"I've been coming here for almost a year now and every experience has been great on the vet's, tech's, and receptionists' side. The only negative being whatever was wrong with my dog at the time. My dog had several tumors and had to have a unilateral mastectomy to remove them and prevent more from coming. She's 10 years old so this was really scary for me. But I can't thank everyone here enough. Dr Pratt answered all of my million questions with patience and thoroughness. She took great care of my dog after the surgery as well with several checkups the week of and after to make sure she was healing correctly after such a big surgery. She seemed to genuinely care about my dog and I couldn't thank her enough. Then just a few weeks ago my dog had to have some teeth extractions and again, everyone from the staff were amazing. They seemed to remember Ume (my dog) and the care provided was very appreciated. The techs as well are always so friendly and sweet and answer my questions well. The receptionists are always super friendly and welcoming. I really recommend going here."
"There's so many reviews about the "compassionate staff" here. I found this to be completely untrue. I found a lost pup last night and brought her here to possibly get looked, at since she had some open wounds on her but, and scanned for a tag. Well she had no tag and when I asked for assistance to get a hold of animal control the receptionist wouldn't even dial their phone number. I showed her my cell phone wouldn't dial out and it wouldn't even ring when I tried, but to not even attempt to make a phone call so I could get this pup some help!? Wheres the compassion? Where's the love for animals? I even asked to speak with the Vet, WHO I JUST SAW WALK PAST, and without missing a beat I was told "oh they're in surgery". So much for "compassion""
"We bring our two babies here and they have always done amazing job with both of them. The vet techs work with the dogs extremely well, and the vets are extremely knowledgeable and informative. The front staff is always so welcoming and helpful. I brought my youngest pup to get him neutered and I was worried he was going to be extremely drugged up and in pain after his surgery. When we went to pick him up he acted as if nothing happened and was extremely happy. We checked his incision site and it was so small and only looked like he had a small cut. They always see us right at our appointment time or earlier and we are always in and out. Their prices are also extremely reasonable. We are so thankful for them!"
"If you don't care to read the details, please stay away from this place if you love your pet!!! I've been taking my German Shepherd to Hutto Vet Clinic for the last 3 years for his regular checkups and vaccine shots. Mid February my dog suddenly started bumping into doors, walls, chairs, etc. which appeared as he was quickly losing his sight. We contacted Hutto Vet and explained the urgency of the situation, however, were were told that they are busy and soonest they can see us in 2 weeks which was useless at that point. After days of trying to find a place, we were able to take him to Cedar Park Clinic and even though they were also booked, they understood the urgency and told us to take him over right away. They confirmed the loss of vision, however, they recommend to see an Eye Specialist for further evaluation, which we did immediately. My dog was on antibiotics and steroids and after 2 weeks during the follow up with the Eye Specialist the retinas that were previously detached were fully re-attached, however, there was blood and we were given more medications to continue for another month. On April 22nd my dog suddenly was unable to walk and would just get up make a circle and lay down again. We've contacted all 24 hours emergency clinics in Austin and surrounding and were told that they are in high capacity. One of the clinics said to call on Monday morning to come and see a neurologist. We called Monday morning and were told that next available appointment to see a neurologist is in June and that we will need a referral from our primary vet. On April 24th I called Hutto Vet, our primary vet and explained the urgency of the situation and that we can't find anywhere to take him. The lady on the phone appeared as she cared and asked to send the video of his behaviour and promised to show the doctor after she was done with surgeries. We've not received any call, email from Hutto Vet and with a help of a neighbor were able to transport my dog to Heart Of Texas Clinic which also was booked but understood the urgency and made an exception. Unfortunately his condition got so bad that we had to make the hardest decision and put our baby to sleep. We was a healthy and happy 5 year old German Shepherd. Today is April 25th and Hutto Vet never cared to contact us. This place clearly doesn't care about animals. these people are not animal lovers to treat their patients this way. I strongly believe that if we had the immediate help from our primary vet when the issue just started we could have better chances to save my baby. Also all this started after the recent vaccine shots that Hutto Vet administered. This was not the first inhumane treatment by Hutto Vet. Several months ago my dog's ear was bitten and it was 15 min till closing. We live 1 block from Hutto Vet. I called and asked if they could just simply take a look visually and tell me if it's deep enough to go to Emergency or ok to care at home, but they refused to take a quick look while I was standing outside of their clinic because soon they had to close and go home and I didn't have an appointment. All I can say is shame on such vets that work at Hutto Vet that call themself animal lovers. You only worship the all mighty dollar and care less about saving animals."
"I took my fur baby Zoe in to see Dr. Pratt for the first time because she has allergy issues and isn't getting better with my long-term vet office and other vet offices. Dr. Pratt has been the most helpful of all the vets Zoe has seen. She was able to discuss all my concerns with me and give me concrete answers. Instead of me having to take notes of recommendations it was printed as a summery on the check-out receipt and they gave me multiple treatment options. I am so happy to find this office with their amazingly wonderful staff and this brilliant compassionate doctor and this is now my new vet office! I am excited to finally see my sweet Zoe getting the relief that she needed so badly."
