"My cat had a severe asthma attack over the weekend, and they were quick to gather information from me on the phone so that they could be ready to get him immediate care once I walked in the door. Dr. Reed was incredibly kind, empathetic, and took the time to talk with me about next steps despite was was very clearly a busy day at the clinic. The techs were wonderful and also took the time to take me back to see my cat, again despite how busy the day was. I'm very grateful to Pet Specialists of Austin."

"Thank you to Dr. Wilbur and Dr. Passmore for being so compassionate. My dog had a terminal brain tumor and had to stay here overnight due to seizures. Dr. Wilbur kept me updated throughout the night/ morning even calling the neurologist for alternative treatments when normal seizure medication was not working. He made sure a tech was by my dog's side the entire night to pet him and keep him comfortable too. Dr. Passmore (neurologist) was so knowledgeable and so kind even taking the time to answer my questions days after my dog's passing. Although my story has a sad ending I am grateful for the doctors and techs here and do not regret bringing him here."

My dog has been sick on and off since Sept. 2023 working with my local vet - he took a turn for the worse two weeks ago and I was referred to the Pet Specialists of Austin. From the beginning of checking in to the vet techs and doctors that worked with my dog, every single person I encountered was incredibly kind and supportive. These people are knowledgeable and thorough. Shout out to Dr. G who splits his time in Philly. Incredible man. My dog was just a shell of himself and Dr. G brought my 2 year old golden retriever back to life as his happy self. I can’t express enough gratitude for these people at Pet Specialists of Austin. "First off, the back staff is amazing, the doctor and vet techs are awesome. They are so good with animals and so friendly as well. Unfortunately I have to give a low star because of the lack of appointments. I paid about $700 for my dogs ultrasound & blood work at my normal vet. The minute I was referred to this clinic for further evaluation I called immediately and wanted an appointment that same week with current up to date ultrasound/ blood work. The front desk said they were booked out over 3 months. I tried to express the importance of getting my dog in earlier and they said no. So I wait the 3 months then get to my appointment & I'm told the ultrasound/blood work is not up to date and was quoted about 1-2.5grand to redo everything at their office same day. Of course this is upsetting because now I paid $150 for an exam and got zero answers as to what is wrong with my dog because they required newer results. I'm upset because I spent so much money at my other vet and tried to get him in the same week and all that money I've spent with both offices literally for nothing. So if you can't get in asap then don't bother unless you have 1-2.5 grand to drop that same day which is what I was quoted."

"Everybody at Pet Specialists of Austin was fantastic with my dog and me. We showed up with my dog in great distress due to Gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV) and I thought it was my last day with my dog, due to her condition. The kindness, compassion, and fast acting to treat her saved her life and I am forever grateful. I hope to never need to return with a dog emergency, but if I do, I know she's in great hands."
