"Veterinary Surgical Solutions has the best staff. Everyone is fantastic! This office runs like a well-oiled machine. They are efficient, caring, and extremely good at what they do and the care they provide for our fur babies. Dr. Lewis did an amazing surgery on my little Abby to fix a torn ACL and luxating patella. From the front desk (Abby loved Leanne) to the techs, to John with PT, everyone was so friendly and helpful. This is her graduating from PT! Thank you all so very much!"
"Our 18 month old cat broke his femur. The cost estimates to save his life were out of sight until I stumbled across Veterinary Surgical Solutions. Their prices were less than half of anyone else's. With high hopes, I did my due diligence and couldn't find any credible criticisms, so I contacted them. The new patient sign-up process was a bit odd, as it was all online, but they got back to me very quickly. The staff was amazingly friendly, caring, and helpful. They were even able to squeeze our fur baby in the next day. The veterinarian did an incredible job. The incision was small and neat. He also supplied the needed medications and supplies as part of the original price quote! Not 1 penny over. Our little guy is doing better than expected and will be tearing around the house again in no time. I can't thank Veterinary Surgical Solutions enough."
"This clinic has had my pet's info for 3 weeks. I called to see when I would hear and was told they didn't have the records. It turns out they were under my partners name. I thought this was corrected and I would hear within 24 hours. I did not hear anything. I then talked to the office manager/vet tech/part owner, she claimed. She told me the records showed a problem with my dogs back foot. This is incorrect. She wouldn't listen to this and explained the breed is prone to this. There has never been an issue with her back foot, only front. I was also told I would never be able to see the vet, and that my dog would only be able to see a vet tech, likely her, and that surgery would likely be the only solution. So, I can only see a vet tech and then commit to a costly surgery all without seeing a veterinarian? Interesting. She spoke over me and was argumentative. After all of that she tells me, oh, we do not have the xrays on file. Weird as I was told they did. She told me that because I started out as frustrated that we were not a good fit. She was right. I am frustrated. So I guess if you are looking for your pet to have a much needed surgery,, just know you will only be able to see the vet tech and will never be told why."
"My fur baby "Halle" (Halle B is her nickname) graduated today from physical therapy! She had TPLO (aka ACL surgery) in November at Veterinary Surgical Solutions in Austin. I "HIGHLY" recommend Dr. Lewis and his team, they are the best and John Brandt, Halle's physical therapist was absolutely amazing! I called multiple places and this was the team that was the best fit and then having PT for my baby was the icing on the cake, who does that? No one else I spoke with even offered it. The office is easily accessible with ample parking, very clean waiting area, they also have a "doggie relief area" just outside with bags. The staff is very friendly and thorough in their explanations of what's to be expected and next steps. They even emailed the notes to me from each visit afterward. Dogs are like us in needing physical therapy to get back as much full use of their limbs in my opinion. VSS is not only more affordable but offer free PT as part of their surgical services or at least the one we had done. They only do surgeries so you're not paying for a lot of the extra overhead that other places charge. Their pricing is online so you can easily know what to expect. I saw that they even have payment companies they accept so check that out if you don't have the cash on hand. I'm so happy and she will be happier soon enough. This is my "go-to" place in the future and it should be yours too!"
"VSS is AMAZING!!! My girl Piper had a large soft tissue sarcoma on her leg. My vet indicated the only option was amputation ($$$) because there was no way to get clean margins around the tumor. Dr Lewis and his staff were 100% dedicated to Piper and making sure she did not lose her leg....he was also able to get clean margins from tumor extraction!!! We did have a few bumps along the way post-surgery, and it took some intensive treatment but she's 100% today and has all 4 legs! I'm forever grateful to Dr. Lewis and the Team at VSS! Without VSS, I would have been faced with the decision to either amputate or euthanize due to the costs associated with amputation. Thank you VSS for giving us many more years with our girl, Piper!!!!"
