"We have had 3 adult cat's and 2 small kitten's fixed here, We spent about $500.00 including donations worth every penny to stop over population. The staff is great so was the Service, In my opinion the employees I had contact with every one was extremely nice and knowledgeable when I asked questions and when I saw the staffs interactions with other customers I saw the same great service. I highly recommend this place. It was also clean. Thank you for your service and caring for Animal's."
"Emancipet, to my knowledge, is a regional low-cost, pet clinic. It is dedicated to providing care and life saving surgeries to pets. It includes shots. I was connected to them after I searched for weeks for an affordable pyometra surgery for Zoey. We had gotten her for my aunt as a present about seven years ago. This past August, my aunt unexpectedly passed away and we inherited her. My aunt loved Zoey so much and we miss her dearly. And we love Zoey. It was awful when she unexpectedly developed pyometra but a couple.of.montha after my.aunt passed away (but I did not know what was happening). After searching through my aunt's things, I found one appointment confirmation to a vet in Katy. We went but the cost was prohibitive. They resigned her to death and said if I could not pay it or get a loan, then I should just euthanize her. Although I stated that I could pay about half of the cost they quoted (which was about $2000), they still just billed the $150, said I should euthanize. At that time, Zoey was really not that swollen. I refused to give up and prayed and prayed for a vet that would do it. I searched and reached out to vets across the Houston metropolitan area. Those vets were amazing and caring. They sent back emails and called me and gave me the names of other clinics. I called and called and eventually, someone told me about Emancipet. Emancipet is like the Doctors without Borders or Engineers without Borders of the animal world. They are fantastic humanitarians. Carla, who called me back, was the most compassionate and caring person. Though late in the day, she told me she would reach out to all vets in their system to see if anyone would take Zoey on Wednesday. This clinic consented. I am forever grateful. Although it was deemed that Zoey has now too much fluid in her uterus to perform the operation, I am still eternally grateful for their care and compassion and at least consenting to evaluate her to give it a go. This Emancipet is extraordinary. All the staff are kind and generous. They truly care about their clients. Everything is orderly. As a Spanish Professor, it was heartfelt the accurate translations posted in Spanish at the clinic and the swift response given to clients who were not proficient in English. It was a truly humanitarian and welcoming place for all. Everyone was dedicated to helping the pets and their families, regardless of their wealth. There, one sees a weltanschauung that allows for everyone to love an animal and for all animals to have access to care that is not bounded by classism. I am furious that her vet in Katy did not recommend any other clinic where she could have been seen and saved. It has been three weeks since this started. I doubt that they did not know of places like Emancipet. Although everyone has to make a living, being a doctor should be putting the lives of your patients first-- even if that means recommending them elsewhere. I still retain hope and search. She is lovely, happy and loving. She has energy and wags her tails and walks. She eats and drinks (lots of vitamin c, these days). She may not make it, but we will continue to search and pray that somehow the fluid decreases in ways that are not harmful and somehow she is able to get the surgery. It is with complete and whole-hearted words that I fully recommend this clinic and Emancipet in general. Donate to this cause and support this much needed service in our society. May they all be blessed for this service."
"Best option for affordable pet wellness services including spay, neuter, heartworm treatment and prevention. First come basis for services. Spay, neuter requires being on list."
"The employees truly care about the pets like family. They are honest and sincere. Thank you emancipet for everything you do. And girly loves them and thanks them too."
"I love Emancipet! The clinic is so clean! The staff is amazing! Everyone was so friendly and truly seemed to care about not just the animals but, the people, too! I have no air conditioning in my car and even though I had given water to my dogs, they were thirsty when we got there and the staff immediately got them a bowl of water without we even asking! They handled my dogs with love, they explained everything where I could understand. You were just awesome! Kudos to Shannon and Hector! Thank you for everything!"
