"I been with this vet over 10 years. It is not every day you get to see how much patience this vet has in writing everything down on paper and explain at the end what your options in how much you can afford. This way we always know what our options. No surprises after going to the front desk to see $ I have to pay. We cannot get an ASL translator in short times and the staff & vet doctors know how to accommodate into writing and emailing everything. As oppose to other past vet doctors we used to go. . . “Can you read lips?” Lip reading is not a method to use as accurate medical communications…for a Deaf person. Now back to the point. JV Vet hospital know us by our names, not like, “please sit and I call you when your turn.” Over the years it has grown into more of “pet inclusive-center attention.” They helped 2 of our service dogs cross over the rainbow. I like how they handled the Rx inside their house. Instead of me running around online trying to get it purchase/approve. My son and I are Deaf…my point is you will not find this unique vet that has the time to sit in front of you and write things down for you, like other old vets we used to go looking at their watches or the clock knowing my time was up. Jersey Village Vet staff and the doctors DO find the TIME & PATIENCE with accommodating our disability in communication accessible."
