"We have used the Veterinarians at Cibolo Canyons for more than five years. We couldn't be happier with the service we have received for our two cats and three dogs. The doctors provide excellent care, and work to resolve any and all health issues. The doctors and the staff are extremely caring, and show a level of concern for my pets that I have not received at other vet clinics. I would highly recommend Cibolo Canyons Vet to anyone seeking thorough and SAFE health care for their fur babies."
"I have been bringing my dogs here for 9 years and have always had wonderful experiences. The staff is courteous, friendly, and understanding. Service recommendations are made but I never feel pressure to say yes nor do I feel they are just trying to get more money out of me. One of my dogs has fear issues and needs to be muzzled. The veterinarians and techs work well with her, respecting her boundaries, and let her set the pace. I can’t imagine taking my dogs anywhere else!"
"Short version: don’t support this practice due to their poor management and high costs. I hope their staff find a better place to work because they’re great people. We’ve had mainly positive experiences but some friends of ours have had pets pass away in Cibolo Canyons care during routine treatments such as teeth cleanings. One friend was just handed their pet following the procedure and the animal died in her car in the parking lot without medical assistance. Long version: Unfortunately we’ve had to update our review multiple times which is totally erratic but necessary. We have been coming to this practice for over a decade and mainly have positive experiences. My last review was 4/5 stars because the staff are friendly, doctor Ulrich is great, and the medical advice is good (which comes at a premium cost). We had some frustrations with their policy of not allowing us to go back to the examination room with our pet in 2024 and the Covid policies (polarizing topic I understand). Rather than having a conversation about our frustrations so we would update our review to include 5 stars, the management just decided to refuse treatment for our pet. It’s a free country and they have the right to refuse service just as we have the right to voice our opinion on a public forum. Part of my last review: Like everywhere lately they are extremely understaffed and because of this they often won't even allow you to go back to an exam room with your pet. Been taking my dog here for years and haven't seen doctor Fehlis for a long time despite the steep fee for the vet to examine your pet. However, the new vet Dr. Bailey Ulrich is great and actually spends the time to come out to the waiting room and talk you through your pets health. They had curbside only policies throughout COVID and they still have plexiglass up everywhere in 2024. I recognize people are still getting covid but no one wants to constantly relive the feeling of living through a pandemic. Due to the understaffing the have the lead tech Chrissy working extremely hard, maybe I'm just sensitive she's had a couple misses on delivery but she's very matter of fact and is incredibly efficient. Overall she does a great job and deserves a raise. I understand labor shortages are an issue everywhere today but the prices at this vet aren't cheap they should be able to pay up and get more help. This is a nice part of San Antonio with plenty of business they should be able to figure this stuff out."
"We have had pets for 20+ years, and this is the best vet we have ever found. The office is clean and the prices are reasonable. The level of care is exceptional. We have a dog with epilepsy, and I feel like they worked with us diligently to find a solution. The entire office is wonderful and caring. I would not take my pets to anyone else!"
"Outstanding staff from the Front Desk, Technicians, and Veterinarians. Everyone was very friendly, polite, and great with the animals. Service was very prompt and appointments were on time. Facilities were very clean from the reception area to the examination rooms. Dr. Fehlis took her time in giving a thorough annual examination without being in a rush for her next appointment. Madison and Kimberlee both did a great job in assisting her, administering vaccines, and with the preliminary work. Great place to come for the customer service and well-being of your pet."
