"2 stars is for the fact they take walk ins and were able to see my dog pretty fast. Vet techs , front staff and vet seemed pretty nice. Other than that I felt that I paid $1000 to have them tell me the obvious. They are more expensive than most if not all other vets in the area. In regards to the work done for my dog I was not satisfied. They took my dog to the back to weigh her and came back saying the vet had already examined her which I would’ve liked to have been there or even told that she was already going to be checked out by the vet . So I really don’t know what they did at that point . I ended up doing all the work they recommended which was blood work , X-rays , urine analysis. Blood work came back showing infection which was obvious and the only reason I’m not completely upset is that the blood work was needed regardless and the peace of mind I got for half a day . I’m no vet but I don’t understand how they would keep my dog for 6 hours, run test, find an infection and not inject antibiotics knowing that my dog is not eating and throwing up. They did recommend transfer to the hospital and when I opted for a second opinion all they did was stick me with oral antibiotics, oral anti nausea , oral hunger stimulant. You would think that if my dog is throwing up and not eating that they would recommend other options for treatments that aren’t oral. I’m not sure but I would also think that antibiotics could’ve been started by injection after the blood work was ran at least while she was there to begin to kill the infection. Overall for $1000 she had test ran was kept for hours on sedatives but was never recommended to begin with antibiotic by injection to begin to fight the infection even when they knew she wasn’t eating and was throwing up everything. I personally would not recommend this vet and I personally feel like I wasted $1000 on the obvious and brushed off to the side when i opted for a second opinion. Waste of time and money ."
"I recently had to take my beloved dog, Kai, to the ER vet, and I must say it was an unexpectedly positive experience. Despite initial reservations based on past ER encounters, the team at this vet facility truly amazed me. Right from the start, they greeted us warmly, showing genuine kindness. The front desk member patiently listened as I explained Kai’s situation, efficiently handled the registration process, and ensured we were promptly checked in. While I had to wait a bit as a walk-in, understanding their concurrent normal clinic operations, the staff kept us updated. The vet tech, who took samples from Kai, was not only professional but also incredibly sweet and attentive. Dr. Wilson, the attending veterinarian, made our visit exceptional. His warm welcome and gentle demeanor immediately put me at ease. He carefully listened to the details of Kai’s condition, expressing gratitude for the information. What stood out was his transparency – he provided a diagnosis and presented precautionary tests as options without pressuring or influencing my decision. This approach, avoiding unnecessary tests and labs, was a refreshing change from other hospitals. Thanks to Dr. Wilson and his team, Kai is now back to her normal, goofy self, and I’m grateful not only for her well-being but also for the sensible approach that kept my expenses in check. Though my association with my vet on base is convenient, if not for that, I would happily make this hospital Kai’s primary care provider. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Wilson and the entire team for their exceptional care. Warm regards, The Salgados"
"They were very personable and patient when we took in our 9 year old male Great Dane this evening. He was having difficulty getting up and needed pain relief. They were prompt on getting him into an exam room and very patient and compassionate with him. Thank you for being personable and understanding. Definitely will be were I take my fur-babies when needing veterinary services."
"We are never disappointed with Town & Country Animal Hospital. Took my Bella due to ingesting one Aleve tablet. The technicians took care of her with love & tenderness and the doctor was amazing as usual by taking every precaution procedure & involved Poison Control to ensure the proper treatment was followed. As an animal parent, I sincerely appreciate everything done for my baby Bella. I've used Town & Country since 2012 and will continue as long as I have fur babies."
"we just moved to this area and didnt have a vet established yet so when my little Luna got into something last week and wasn't feeling well, we rushed her to town and country right down the road and im so glad we did! the staff were very kind and quick to take her in. They took such good care of my sweet girl and she's doing so much better! she's back to taking naps with mama on the couch."
