"I am amending my original review of Mr. Boswell’s handling of my family member’s case. The following is my original review... “Mr. Boswell was court appointed to represent a family member. There have been daily attempts to get in touch with him by multiple persons for 2 weeks with no reply. Do not hire him. Find someone who will actually do their job. My last option has been to contact the Attorney General’s office to file a formal complaint.” Less than 3 hours after posting this review, Mr. Boswell called me. He seemed very friendly on the phone. He also told me that he’d been in contact with the Denton County DA’s office and would call me back either that same day or the next with any update. I really felt like he was on top of it. That’s when he mentioned my negative review. He asked if I was the person who’d posted it. I told him that I was that person but that I’d amend it. To my surprise, he called me back a second time that same day. He let me know that he’d spoken with the DA and had an idea of what the plea deal would be. Mr Boswell said he’d call me back the following day once the plea deal was officially offered. That’s exactly what happened. He called me back the next day and let me know about the plea deal being offered and asked if I thought my family member would take it. I told him; “Yes, I think he’ll take it but he needs to talk to his client”. That should have been the end of it...or would have been... Except that, it still took him a week to present the DA’s offer to his client. Yes, I understand that we’re in a pandemic. Yes, the courts are backed up and the jails are full. I just wonder if Mr. Boswell would have had a little more of a sense of urgency if he was getting paid and not court appointed. Who knows ? I also wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t posted my negative review. Is that all Mr. Boswell cares about? Would this still be unresolved? Who knows? I hope my review helps. I also hope Mr. Boswell’s future clients are as much of a priority as a negative Google review."
