"The quality of the Healthcare professionals is good, but the Billing is a NIGHTMARE. Please PLEASE go somewhere else if you don't want to have to micromanage every credit card transaction to make sure you aren't mistakenly charged for things. Problem 1: Scheduling I scheduled a virtual appointment during a break at work, and immediately added it to my calendar with a reminder. The scheduler mistakenly put my appointment in at the wrong time (a couple hours earlier). So when I logged in, the NP was no longer there. I emailed her immediately about the incorrect appointment time, and to ask for a reschedule (scheduled for only 24 hours later.) Thriveworks billed me $99 for the missed appointment - that was a scheduling mistake on their part. Problem 2: Automatic Subscription Billing Thriveworks's Business model is to sell subscription services (Think like a Gym Membership or Netflix). They keep a credit card on file, and automatically charge it monthly. I explicitly stated when scheduling my 1st appointment that I did NOT want a subscription membership and only wanted to pay for a single appointment until I determined if I liked the Healthcare provider and wanted to continue with them. Thriveworks does require a CC on file for billing purposes. I gave them the # for my HSA Debit Account. I have only had the 1 appointment at Thriveworks, but they still billed me a month later for their $39 Membership fee. Okay... mistakes happen, but really? I thought I was clear about this. So I called into Billing, and after an hour on the phone, to have the charge reversed, and to have my HSA Debit card REMOVED from all Thriveworks systems and records to avoid any mistaken billing in the future $39 Membership fee was charged at 11:11PM on 11/3 ($39) Was refunded at 10:58AM on 11/4 (after my call) ..... And THEN... $39 Membership Fee was charged AGAIN at 6:57PM on 11/4. I've now been on the phone again today... on hold twice for 20mins each, before being disconnected. I've finally made it back in touch with the Billing Department, who doesn't see where they charged me, refuses to refund me (Despite my emailing them detailed documentation from my HSA Debit Card Statement, along with time-stamped email charge notifications. They refuse to reverse the fraudulent charges, and offer no explanation for how my Debit Card is still being charged, after they claim they have removed it from their system. I'm happy to remove or change this review if Thriveworks can correct the fraudulent charges. Otherwise my next step will be an official BBB Complaint."
