Along with the expertise of those involved with me, they showed much kindness and patience in answering my questions and thoroughly explaining the surgery. "This facility has poor communication system within the healthcare team. I came in for a procedure after being told by the Coordinator to do the prep a few days prior only to find out I’m not on the schedule. They made a way supposedly to see me only to be told that I have to complete my heart procedure and come back next Monday . Did my heart procedure, the Coordinator called and reminded the appointment for today. Did my prep again for the second time. Came in and I’m not on the schedule again! The Guy Nurse working today called me in just to let me know that their facility is not equipped to handle conditions such as mine! I did the prep twice, messed up my fluids and my wife missed her work twice! This outpatient surgery has poor Customer Service , they don’t take into consideration that a patient has to do the prep twice knowing that patient has fluid limitations and family missing work to accommodate this procedure. I would like the System to review their communication process in scheduling patients and we drove 1 hour to and pro."

"My grandson had toe surgery last summer. At the time I didnt think to write a review. The nurses and staff could not have been more professional, understanding, and patient in dealing with a scared 10 yr old. Unfortunately I don't not remember the exact nurses' name - she Took care of us when we were taken back for prep. She assured Jake she a would be with him until she gave him back to me. She said he could call her meemaw during surgery. I hate say she was an older woman but I would expect in her 60's. I wish I could remember her name - she was an angel. Other thankful point? No IV attempts until after he was in surgery. Just a perfect way to insert them. Thank you again UTMB - ambulatory."

"If I could give 0 stars I would. The care I received for my outpatient surgery was horrible. I was called the day before and told to arrive at 3:30 the next day. No food after midnight and only water, sprite or Gatorade until 1:30. I arrive on time and I’m told my surgery won’t be until 6:20. In pre-op, I was stuck 5 times trying to get an IV. 2 of those attempts caused the veins to blow in each of my hands. Anesthesiology had to come in with an ultrasound to find a vein. This same vein caused an infiltrate during surgery causing me to have another IV placed. I have never had problems with getting IVs started. During surgery they said they didn’t see the 8 mm stone Dr. Farhan left in there for over a month. But I know for a fact I did not pass it. I received no post op visit from Dr. Farhan. I received no pain medication after having someone in my kidney looking around. The kidney pain I feel is excruciating. They will not prescribe me anything other than toradol which is not working. Patient care was absolutely horrendous. I have never been t treated so poorly."
