"In as short as 2-3 months, this daycare/school has been exceptional not only to my kids but to me as well! I came from having a bad experience with a previous daycare & i was definitely on edge bringing my kids to a new facility but they have been phenomenal with my babies! I have 3 kids attending & they all have grown attached to their teachers which i love, & as a parent I’ve grown to trust. Everyone here treats & looks after your child like if they were their own & it shows! My kids love going to school here & tell me everyday what a great day they had & bring me home all the work they completed which definitely has shown progress academically in such short time! Not only is it a great place for your children to learn but its fun as well! Endless events they put together thats fun for the whole family! We love it here! I know my babies are in great hands, definitely recommend this facility!"
"They’ve always treated my children and my wife and I as their own family. Their staff truly cares about our children. Great front office, infant thru pre-K staff and teachers are inviting, understanding, and personable. Our kids are all unique and have their share of situations where additional care was needed due to health issues and the staff and lighthouse took care of them as their own, no questions asked. I know my kids are in great hands when I leave them there. I couldn’t recommend Lighthouse in Yorkville enough! Before and after school care is also exceptional! Shout out to Miss Patty!"
"I’ve heard very good things about this place and I’ve been on the waitlist for quite some time so I called to check on where my daughter was on the waitlist and a lady named kris answered and was very rude while talking to me and hung up on me. Very unprofessional!!!! I am a very sweet person and I never write bad reviews but that was very unprofessional and rude and I am very upset about how I was treated over the phone."

"As a parent you leave your child with a daycare expecting them to receive quality care. And I can say that up until this recent year before so many of their good teachers left my child WAS receiving quality care. And seven months into this year let me inform you all what has taken placed. Earlier this year my child was ONLY to wearing pull-ups during nap time to prevent him from messing up his clothes while asleep. And then changed back into his underwear as he can use the bathroom just fine when awoke. Yet, he was left in a saturated pull-up that went through his clothes and wasn’t changed until I got there after work 5:30pm, and nap time is around noon. When I asked the teacher why my child hadn’t been changed, her response was “I don’t know they just came down to this room.” And she continued doing what she was doing. During winter my child had an accident and was pickup by my boyfriend when my child came home I was shocked to see my child wearing shorts. I was confused and furious because I had just dropped off several weather appropriate outfits. And yet, my sever asthmatic child was placed in some extra shorts they had at the daycare instead of them contacting me and informing me that they couldn’t find my child clothes. The next day I looked in my child container where extra clothes are kept and what do you know? All of my child extra outfits were there. Earlier this week my boyfriend dropped my child off at lighthouse during nap time and all the children were laying down. He explained that when he walked in the room the teacher was walking around looking at the children to see who was sleep and who was still awake… which I don’t understand the purpose but, ok. My boyfriend tells her “oh he’s probably ready for a nap too because he was falling asleep in the car”. The teacher response was “well he’s going to have to wait because I’m the only teacher in here right now.” And made my child sit at the table. And then yesterday…now my child has been attending Lighthouse since 3 months of age, so Lighthouse management team of all people in the building is very much aware of his allergies and knows that he’s severely asthmatic. Yesterday, while I was in the ER I received a call stating that Fish sticks were severed during lunch however, my child was given chicken nuggets because of his allergies to seafood, shellfish, eggs, and peanuts. I was told that another child touched him, and he was having an allergic reaction. I was told that “his eyes had gotten puffy and he was scratching”. It was made like it wasn’t a big deal I asked had they given him Benadryl? They informed me they hadn’t, I told them I was in the hospital, to give my child them medicine if it didn’t help call 911 and I’d be signing myself out he ER as soon as I could. My child was rushed to the ER and when I got there my heart dropped, my child had hives all over his forehead, his eyes were swollen shut, his forehead was swollen, he was itching his tongue with a wet towel, and had broken out all over his neck. The ER doctor confirmed that there was cross contamination and my child had consumed fish. My heart breaks writing this letter because my three-year-old child nor any other child should never have to deal with such neglect and careless teachers. After addressing management EVERY TIME! After EVERY incident! Nothing has changed for the better! Needless to say, my child will NOT be returning to Lighthouse Academy in Yorkville, IL."
