"Very picturesque with the river right there. Playground is nice. You can walk across footbridge to explore the island. Enjoyable to watch kayakers in kayak shoot. Outhouses are always clean."
"The riverfront here is pretty cool. It has a little bit of everything: It's photogenic, there's a park perfect for kids, a spot where you can go rafting, a place to practice your kayaking skills, a place to fish, a pedestrian bridge, a cool dam, a BBQ joint, a brunch cafe, an ice cream shop, several local restaurants, and a covered pavilion that is perfect for picnics and doubles as a spot for live music. This location often hosts Yorkville's Christmas parade, tree lighting and fireworks (yes, fireworks), BBQ competitions, and other kid friendly events. I think as the area develops, this area will grow to be VERY popular. It's worth stopping to visit!"
"Always a fun day for floating in the bypass channel on tubes. There’s some ongoing construction right now but using the water was still allowed for the short rapids area that we use. Water level was lower but still safe enough to navigate the fun short course. There’s a nice ice cream shop nearby where we finished off the day."
"Nice little place to walk along the river and relax. Went there with a friend to check out the kayak place and the the rapids run they put in. Brought my 3 year old, who loved the water and throwing rocks at it. Found a dead raccoon skeleton which he thought was cool."
"City of Yorkville, Illinois's Bicentennial park is beautiful with the Fox River that runs through it. The city has put in great effort to improve the access for water enthusiasts by creating rapids for kayaking on one side and the dam is a "rush" on the other."
