"My sweet little 12 lb. Yorkie Poo SPCA rescue, just over a year old, went to the DeZavala Petsmart location in San Antonio yesterday to see a groomer who has groomed her twice before and done well. Pup had finally developed her “look” but needed a gentle TRIM. THE GROOMER SHAVED her without even a quick text or call which they ordinarily do when your dog is done. But Nooooo... After previous lengthy discussions with the groomer, she was well aware that my pups eyebrows were errantly shaved off when being groomed after the shelter - she had worked with us on 2 occasions of us being very specific about NOT touching pups eyes or face. I also sent photos from Insta for her to go by. NONE of the 3 Yorkie Poo pics were of “shaved” Yorkie poos. Pup gets regular brushing to include the night before she went to subject groomer but has gotten a couple of mats in her coat on the side - none large and all could have easily been cut out. Groomer abandoned all instruction and shaved and apparently traumatized my dog as now she jumps every time I try to touch her face.
