NorthShore Immediate Care Center - Round Lake Beach

"The front desk staff at this location is awful. I’ve walked in multiple times to find up to 4 women working the desk, but too involved in their conversation to notice that someone walked in. Then they treat you like you so rudely interrupted their conversation. There’s also one specific woman who I don’t have the name of (because God forbid they wear the name tags they’re supposed to wear per company dress code) who treats you differently based off of your type of insurance, outstanding balance, if you have your phone in your hand, etc. She very literally changes from decent to rude mid-conversation when she sees something about you she doesn’t like. Also, I went in for urgent care because I was worried I had pneumonia. Once it was determined that I didn’t, I turned down the prescriptions the nurse practitioner recommended. She then proceeded to have an attitude with me and asked, “what do you want me to do? Why did you come in?” Well, Beata, I have neither a stethoscope or x-ray machine at home, and just wanted to make sure my lungs weren’t full of fluid. NorthShore has gone downhill so quickly over the last year. I love the doctors and nurses I’ve been seeing long term, but the support staff is horrendous in most places. They act like you’re the jerk when you expect them to do their jobs or when you have an opinion on your own health and healthcare."

"This makes absolutely no sense. This is an immediate care but yet you have to make an appointment that is not immediate care because that means you're not taking care of anybody immediately. What a joke!!"

"On New Years eve, Dec 31, 2023, we took our son to the North Shore University Immediate Care Center Round Lake Beach. He had severe back pain and could barely walk. Would you believe they would not see him because we did "not" have an appointment. What's the purpose of immediate care if you cannot walk-in? Ridiculous! They said to go to the North Western Med emergency room on Rt 120 near Rt 45 in Grayslake. We drove to the NW Med ER and our son received excellent care. It was a blessing in disguise that we went there instead. Thanks NW Med for the excellent care."

"Arrived at 230pm they were supposed to be open till 5. Was told they were booked till 5. One person in the waiting room. Six cars in the lot. Unless 30 people took cabs there I find this to be a lie. If u have to close early just say so and apologize. Ended up down the road at another immediate care and mentioned north shore closing early. They said they heard north shore has a quota for the day and closed when reached. Put that on your website then, like stores do, doctor appointments available until sold out. We may close early. And answer the phone. I tried calling ahead. I ended up in your competitors ER. Bad way to get new patients."

"This Northshore location is a joke. I arrived about 7 minutes late, well within my grace period. There was a line to check in, and the receptionist was moving like pond water. When I got up there, she claimed I was in line for 2 minutes when it was actually closer to 10 minutes. She accused me and my husband of lying straight to our faces. She refused to check me in, saying I missed my appointment. I have been waiting for the appointment for a MONTH and have been in pain due to endometriosis. I had to reschedule, so now I wait AGAIN because of a slow old woman and a practice that doesn't separate people with appointments from walk-ins. I'll never trust Northshore again. After my next appointment, I'll be searching for a new group of doctors."
