Holiday Inn Chicago - Schaumburg, an IHG Hotel 1998 North Roselle Road, Schaumburg, IL 60195

"Update: JAVIER and TAMMY lied to their management and said I called to cancel my room but never did and they refuse to pull the calls on their end. Thankfully, Verizon has the ability to pull them for me. Last Thursday night October 19, Javier at the front desk answered the phone. I had called in to ask about pet fees and he said I would only have to pay an extra $25 fee for the night. He called me back and said I couldn’t bring the dog because they only allow the first floor rooms to have dogs but that they were sold out that night, (so I wouldn’t be able to bring my dog) in response, I told him that it was fine, that I would call back IF I needed to cancel due to no rooms being available on the first floor… (At this point, I could leave the dog at my family members house if it came down to it) the most unprofessional part, is that I had already reserved my room for Thursday, booked and PAID FOR. Javier took it upon his managers advice (Tammy) to screw me over and sell our ALREADY PAID for room… ASSUMING I would call back to cancel… (I didn’t) Therefore, when I arrived to the hotel to check in that night, Javier told me he sold my room WITHOUT confirming with me before doing so, the least he should have done, was to call me to ask if I was going to cancel PRIOR to selling my already paid for room. He told me that there were no more rooms for the night and to figure it out, oh well… luckily, I was spending the night with my husband, and Javier called the police on him because he was upset that our room was sold without telling us. (Anybody would be upset when told to screw us, go sleep in your car at this point) . This left me to sleep in my car. I had a super early morning flight to Dallas the following morning. This experience alone left me feeling so angry, sleeping in the car on a cold and rainy night…"

"We've stayed here several times for a weekend/overnight get away. It's close to I-90 and plenty of Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Palatine restaurants. Sadly,the hot tub was out of service during our recent stay. Overall,it is a good place. The wear and tear of the last decade are clear."

"This is a good hotel and we had planned to stay three nights - a much-needed “staycation” for us after difficult holidays. Everything was going fine - until the first morning shower. The tub was slicker than a Chicago sidewalk in January. With two new knees after knee replacement, we couldn’t risk it for me. We left early and, sadly, went home."

"Only complaint I have is pool was ice cold and hot tub jets didn't work but was still hot. The rooms were clean and beautiful and the staff were amazing. Oddly it was better than the Hilton I had stayed at in st Louis for half the price! Loved my stay."

"I came out here for business, staying for 4 nights. It has been a great experience. Staff has been great. The food I had in the restaurant has all been good, breakfast and dinner. Rich was at the front desk two of the evenings and I felt the need to shout him out specifically as he always seemed to be in a good mood and pleasant yo everyone that came by no matter if I came by near the beginning of his shift or near the end. He’s definitely someone you want to have at your front desk and I wanted to make sure he gets acknowledged. I definitely recommend this location and will choose here when I’m in the area for work again."
