"There was so much mold. The coffeemaker was full of mold. I only used it one day. The shower and tub were disgusting. There is mold coming from upstairs in multiple locations. They painted over it. The staff is begrudging with the amenities. The shower and body wash they have in the rooms is NOT Wyndham standard. It's something cheaper, that caused me to get head sores after using. The carpet is disgusting and there were vermin. The hotel keys are so severely used that they don't hold the keys. If I had $1 for every key that they programmed, just for me to walk down the hall and have it be a dud... Honestly, this place gives Super 8 a terrible name. If I worked at Wyndham corporate, I'd think about taking the name back."
"Stay around the STL area often as I can. Easy to get to quiet street. Stayed at other Super 8's and was closer to this one at the moment and was cheaper. Not all that. They will add a $50 deposit even if you paid online. Even rerun your card as they want to see it and do something with it. Not normal with Super 8 or any other. Think avoiding franchise fee's or how they sneak in deposit ! Shetchy. Place was around $59. Decent parking. Very small lobby. Room was ok with no smells. Bed was clean. Had fridge, iron and maybe microwave. Quiet over all. Right off eway and lots of places next door. I had a decent sleep. Main room switch didn't work so you have to walk to the lamps in the dark and find thier switch. Tub walls had a few cracks in it, some stains on the blinds, Freeze was over frooze with ice so barely fit my water bottles for the road in thier. Then tiny holes in the wall where the ironing board was. Worse thing about it was the shower doesn't work like a normal shower. Turns out you need to pull under the facet spicket for the shower to turn it on. The tub drain wouldn't even close so could then just take a bath instead. They know some of these rooms have this odd setup and don't worn you. So at 7am had to throw some clothes on unshaven and unbathed down to front desk to ask them about this. 0 stars / not cool. Breakfest is some granola bars, some like little Debbies single packed cinnamon rolls on front counter. No other 8's do this. Try Fairview ($70) or Troy (has indoor pool / whirlpool about $80-$90) with thier online site and reward 10% discounts) next time nicer. Both nearby, right off eway, nice places near by them (seriously all walking distance 1-5 mins) and both big breakfests. If your a couple do Troy and enjoy the hot tub. The $10-$30ish more is worth it !! Fairview is minutes from Imo's pizza and tons of shopping places are right thier ! Fyi this company's rewards points are worthless! Found out most of thier franchises don't accept them ! Then corporate won't step in when you have issues with the chain Super 8 and Days Inn. Tell you to deal with the franchise motel that is the issue. Get what you pay for."
"Rooms are dirty, stink afraid to sleep on bed. Bathroom was very iffy. Breakfast was a joke. Furnishings 50 years dated and taped together. Maintenance is not slopping paint around. TV is so small why bother."
"It was exactly what we needed, but exactly what we got. You've been to super 8's before I would say it's an average super 8. The TV was tiny. The free breakfast area was also very small. I booked this hotel for my sister and had the reservation under her name. Luckily we were in town because the front desk said he required the card that was used to make the reservation although she had her own card to put on file for incidentals."
"However the rooms floors and sheets are clean, the bed sheets have cigarette burns in them, the curtains are stained and smell of weed, the lamp shades are cracked and stained as well as the chairs. When you walk in the lights don't work and some of the outlets don't either. The rooms are hot AF,even if you turn the air on. The neighbors ,which we were told were family of the owners are up all night and all day arguing with each other there and loudly talking and slamming doors. They have the fridge and microwave(dirty) and TV and coffee maker are plugged into a power strip instead of the walls ( big fire hazard). The TV isn't visible. Two lights coming through on one side and darkness on other. They do come to take trash and towels everyday but don't fill up coffee or toiletries. And God forbid you take 2 mini hostess donuts or cakes or granola bar for breakfast. They snap at you. They keep it at the service desk on a tray instead of breakfast room, which only has juice in a machine, and you only get one per room not one per person. Greedy much!? There are also no dressers but are a few hangers with ironing board. Photos and videos were taken and sent to the proper channels. And the hidden $50 deposit... But still better than the $100 deposit of area hotels nearby.SMH."
