"I’ve got a presentation tomorrow morning and my normal guy Jorge was not available. But, Javier did an excellent job On my hair and beard. I highly recommend both Javier and Jorge"
"From a student perspective, I would give this school and staff 1/10. My first month I had to beg the teachers to teach our class. we were in school for a whole month before we got our kits. Our barber teacher (Jasmin) read off of the iPads and hardly every walked around to assist or guide us. She also would get distracted due to other students that were not in our class walking in to have casual conversation that were not school related. Multiple complaints were made to different higher chairmen such as the Dean and Marlo and nothing was changed. Also we payed a lot of money for the kits that were full of cheap tools. Millie and Minnie were some of the most helpful teachers. Taking our core exit exam they were shocked to know that our teacher didn’t go over any of the material with us and were in our last week of core. Meaning the whole six weeks we learned nothing. Go at your own risk ⚠️ . Our first week senior students were saying how bad the program was and that we would see for ourselves. And that we did. I would not recommend this school’s barber program. I’m sure the cosmetology or ecstatic programs are better because they assisted us multiple times. I hope this helps if you’re trying to decide on a school."
"I called last week to make an appointment. The guy on the phone asked what services I need and I said color and a cut. He took my information and then he said he had me down for a cut and did I need any other services. I said yes, I needed a color. He asked me if I would also need my hair lightened and I said yes again. He changed my appointment time for two hours earlier so they would have time to do all that. He asked what color I wanted so they could make sure they had the color and I said pigment red. I was on time for my appointment and I was asked to take a seat and they would be right with me. It took 15 minutes for them to get me for my services. Ok, it felt like a long time, but it wasn’t overly long. They took me back to the chair and the student asked me what I wanted done. She looked a little bewildered when I said I wanted color and ran to get an instructor. The instructor came up and he immediately started petting my hair and telling the student because I had blue eyes my natural color would lift easily. My color has never lifted easily. He kept putting a piece of hair on the wrong side, against the part which was incredibly uncomfortable. He said it belonged over there. I kept telling him it didn’t, but he wasn’t listening. The instructor was telling the student they could do a dark auburn on the bottom of my hair and low light up to my natural color at the roots. I again said that I had asked for pigment red, a single color over my whole head. They left me sitting in the chair again while the instructor went back to get the product but he came back empty-handed and told me they didn’t have the color I wanted. He then told me I was only scheduled for a cut and they couldn’t accommodate a color as well. He asked me if he could reschedule for the next week. The reason I set the appointment for today and called a week in advance to get it is because I need my hair done before the weekend so rescheduling for next week was not going to work. He stated again they didn’t have the color so I thanked him, grabbed my bag and left. That’s the last time I’m going to try to go to the Paul Mitchell beauty college to get my hair done because they do not listen and they do not take care of customers appropriately."
"I really needed a change in my box dyed routine. This is where I came. I received expert advice and customized care here. I’m so happy with my experience that I’m taking the time to write this review. This is a wonderful place to come and really improve your hair’s quality because they are so gentle and concerned about what is best for the protection of your hair. I also would like to say that the two students who worked on my hair were absolutely amazing, I think their names were Ella and Mary Bella. What I will say is the students in the school look so engaged and tell me that they love learning here. This is an excellent environment because when people are happy and love learning, they tend to put everything they have into what they do. High respect for all the students here."
