"I am so thankful I found this amazing music school for my son. In the 6 years he's worked with Band-Aid, he's blossomed from a stage fright little boy to a confident and versatile musician who reads music and possesses a wide range of musical knowledge. Band-Aid will prepare your student for the stage and for life. They teach the foundation of music and the important skills of practice, perseverance, working with others, and attending to your mental health. The teachers are all wonderful examples and fun role models who my son idolizes. The bi-annual showcases are my favorite day of the year! I'm always blown away by the student performances and the iconic Austin venues that the students get the opportunity to perform at are amazing."

"I am so glad we chose BASM. We started off with private guitar lessons with Josh. He is a treat - patient, kind, great with kids. I wasn't sure about having to do the extra practice session, "dress rehearsal," and stage performance after starting from scratch and only having had two months of lessons, but she's learned a lot already, and the extra events have really helped develop her confidence. The staff I have met seem to be committed to that. Our young musician had a rough morning before the last rehearsal event, was having a hard time getting her emotions in check, did not want to play or sing. She wanted to go back home, but we went inside to listen to the others. She was obviously in distress. James noticed. After the next student had finished performing, he encouraged them all telling them how important it is to perform even if their throat was sore, or if they were nervous or anxious, that it is important to teach their bodies to overcome their emotions. That's a wise word for us all but especially for youngsters. Mine evidently took it to heart, started to participate with student feedback, and she did perform her song after all. She was so happy and proud. It was a growth experience for her for sure, and one I will always treasure."
