"Closing in on three years ago before I even really started my search for a drum teacher for my mildly autistic son, Matt just showed up on my facebook feed. I emailed him and asked him all sorts of questions. The most important for me was did he have experience with autistic kids. His answer was yes. We went in for a trial lesson and I've never regretted the decision. In fact, it's probably the single best decision I've ever made for my son. He's gone from a knew nothing about drumming, reluctant to practice kid, to a competent intermediate, double bass pedaling, practicing for 1.5 hours a day drummer. Matt is always positive. His patience knows no bounds. He is always encouraging. The studio is set up with two electric kits so not only can he provide both the audio and visual music for his students but he can show them EXACTLY what they need to be doing and what certain patterns and rhythms should sound like. April will mark our three year drumaversary with him and we're not going anywhere. The changes in my son have been far too great and widespread across all facets of his life.
