"It has been an honor to be a student of Leota Sigrid Boesen for many years. I began violin lessons with her in 5th grade and today, many years later, I have graduated medical school. During this time, Ms. Boesen has been a wonderful instructor and mentor in my life. First and foremost, she is an talented musician with many years of experience in instructing students of all ages and abilities in learning the art of music. With her help, throughout intermediate school, junior high and high school, I achieved high honors in UIL violin solo and group competitions and region orchestras. During undergraduate, although I was pre-med biochemistry major, she was instrumental in helping me audition for and be accepted to the Moore School of Music Symphony Orchestra at the University of Houston during my freshman year. Later, when I joined the non-music major orchestra at my university, I was able to serve as second chair of the orchestra. I will always be thankful for the lifelong gift of music she has given me. I will also always be thankful for her great kind spirit and encouragement she has given me throughout my life. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking an experienced instructor and mentor in violin or viola."

Within a few months she was able to get him caught up to his classmates and at the top of his class. All three were in the best orchestra in The Woodlands high school thanks to her teaching. They all scored the highest on the competitions. One of them was first chair.
