"It’s always hard for me to turn on my street at the light because the cones are out. The cars that are coming out of the school parking lot want let us get over in that right lane so I can never turn on my street to get home. The traffic directors are standing out there in the mornings talking and laughing with each other (TWO WOMEN) some days one male but they closed off the right lane and is used only for those leaving out the school. They never make the other cars wait. I’m ready to sign whatever petition because this has gone on long enough. It’s kids walking in the streets from 3 different directions at the lights every single morning and most mornings it’s so much Sun you don’t see the kids walking until you’re so close up on them. It’s SCARY because someone can hit these kids and the two women are standing outside having a merry time laughing with each other. Most staff will usually just play crazy like they don’t know what we’re talking about but I hate this school is in this neighborhood. Traffic every morning is just pitiful."
"We have had a great experience at Village Tech. The teachers are engaged, the car line (as a parent), is WAY better than at the start of the year, and our kids love it too! Note that the majority of “negative” reviews are from disgruntled local residents who don’t like the drop off or pick up solutions. There may be validity to this, but it certainly isn’t a reflection on the education students receive here!"
"they started using Cedar Hill Rd and it is impossible to get out of several streets on Cedar Hill Rd. If you can get out then there is no visibility for oncoming traffic. What is it going to take the death of someone for you to fix this. We signed a petition when you purchased this school that you could not enter the parking lot off of Cedar Hill Rd. Now that changed and it’s a nightmare. If I needed an ambulance or fire truck are they going to have to plow through cars to get by. This is wrong. And it should be illegal. You have three lane access off of Danieldale. This isn’t right, and it wasn’t what you originally agreed on in order to gain neighborhood support to build your school."
"Great school,my child has been coming here for 5 years now. We love it! If you're new to the area or looking for a new school....please visit Village Tech!"
"Update: April 2019. Finally...as the end of the first school year approaches...They have a new pickup lane/ parking lot along the single lane Cedar Hill Rd. Although this should have been in place before the start of the school year, at least those living near the area no longer have the ridiculous problem of standstill traffic on surrounding roads. There were several near accidents that I noticed. The city was fed up and put up No-Uturn signs on Danieldale, causing further inconvenience to drivers. Older posting: They provide no bus service and had traffic issues that blocked single lane public roads at their prior location, and now at their new location with vast amounts of land they did nothing to provide the length and width of pickup lanes to handle the well known huge lines of cars from all directions. Nearby single lane public neighborhood roads like Cedar Hill Road are impassable and at a standstill for multiple lengthy times every afternoon. The responses to calls are from defensive and angry staff who totally knew this would happen. And look what many student classrooms are...a huge village of metal temporary buildings. I will come back and edit/update this post if I see any significant improvement."
