"I have been a patron at Tri-State Cosmetology Institute over the past year and my most recent visit has been the most satisfying. I had a perfect visit from the moment I entered the facility. The atmosphere is warm and accommodating. The professionalism I experienced from both cosmetology students and their instructors is outstanding. My concerns, safety and comforts were completely addressed. The students here are afforded a bright, cheerful, well kept environment and are being prepared to be excellent in the cosmetology profession. The fees charged are economical and an honest bargain. And most pleasing is my five star hair color and styling. The instructors who advised and guided my student Sebastian were Ms Claudia and Ms. Myra. I’m comfortable recommending this cosmetology school without any reservations."

"Today I went in trying to get a full bleach blonde look. The teacher instructed the girls who were working on my hair to do thick chunked highlights (I have thick long hair) so they did and the instructor took out the foils while the bleach didn’t set all the way and my hair was orange. (My hair always takes bleach any time I have gotten it done professionally ) while the girls were washing my hair two other instructors asked why the girls took them out so early and that they should’ve let them stay in foil longer. After this the first instructor was avoiding my direction knowing she messed up. They ended up dying my hair brown when I wanted blonde. Also the student asked if she could curl my hair and when I asked if it would cost extra she said it wouldn’t but at the front I got rang up for a hair styling. The student as well was speaking in Spanish to her colleague acknowledging how bad it was and how she hates working on a bad outcome not knowing I could understand everything she was saying. Very unprofessional and disappointing to say the least."

"I attended Tristate Cosmetology Institute for Esthetics during the 22-23 school year. I definitely recommend the school for not only Esthetics but for Cosmetology and Manicuring as well. The professionalism starts from the top with Amy (who is CEO) and her team. They are helpful, friendly and the door is always open. The instructors are passionate and helpful. They have years of experience under their belts. Mrs. Celia, the salon manager is very knowledgeable and will help you learn responsibility and managing clients as you progress. She is the first person you see walking into school every morning and it’s always a “good morning sunshine!” For esthetics the set up you are issued is great, probably the best in comparison to other schools. The modalities and products students work with are professional. You will learn all the basics, but a little more. There are incentives when you are a student, for example being rewarded by attaining good grades and attendance. With all the help from the school, it’s also up to you to succeed. I’m glad I chose Tri-state!"

"I understand that this place is teaching students to cut hair. But for the third time in a row, the students have messed up my hair. And the instructors don't stay around to correct these students. The latest person even said it verbally that they didn't know how to cut a man's hair. But the instructors still let them continue. Don't go here if you want your hair messed up."
