"I didn't know what to expect I just arrived to the area and I took a chance as flight schools seem to be scarce in the local area. I went to Joe, and found him to be a very unique guy. He's got the old school approach and he's definitely not politically correct; he'll shoot it to you straight. But I went as a rusty commercial pilot to get my BFR (biennial flight review) renewed and found that he was strict and he wouldn't let me cut corners. He even taught me a couple new things and he found some bad habits I had that my instructors had taught me and worked hard to beat 'em out of me on my flights."
